La Cabana Latin Grill — Restaurant in Palm Springs

I can't believe I hadn't found this place sooner! Nestled in an unassuming spot, La Cabana Latin Grill turned out to be one of my best dining discoveries. As someone who's always hunting for authentic Latin cuisine, I knew I'd struck gold from my very first bite.

The Food That Blew Me Away Oh. My. Goodness. The Birria Quesa Tacos! I consider myself pretty well-versed in Mexican food, but these tacos... they're honestly some of the best I've ever had in my life. The meat was incredibly tender and juicy, and when combined with that perfectly melted cheese - pure heaven!

I also tried the Palomilla Steak, and wow! This Cuban-style preparation had me scraping my plate clean. The meat was cooked exactly how I like it, and the flavors were spot-on. I'm already craving it again!

The Vibe You know that feeling when you find a place that's not trying too hard to be fancy, but just nails everything that matters? That's La Cabana. It's definitely a diamond in the rough. Walking in feels like being let in on a wonderful secret - the kind of place you almost want to keep to yourself, but it's too good not to share.

Service That Makes You Smile The staff treated me like family from the moment I walked in. First-class service all the way! You can really tell they take pride in their food and want you to love it as much as they do. Their enthusiasm for the menu was contagious!

Why I'll Be Back I've found my new favorite Latin restaurant! La Cabana Latin Grill proves that the best food doesn't need fancy frills - it just needs to be authentic and made with love. Those Birria Quesa Tacos alone are worth the trip, but everything else - from the amazing Palomilla Steak to the warm service - makes this place an absolute gem. I'm already planning...

Forget every other review for mexican restaurants I have ever posted.This is hands down THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT EVER! I am sorry for all the others but you cannot find a Better expression of Mexican food than this place PERIOD I look at restaurants. Buy simple things such as refried beans and this place has the silkiest most delicious beans that you will find. I get a simple taco with beef, and it is absolutely incredible and what you think a taco is supposed to be. I finished my meal with a flan and other than a friend's mom from puerto rico.This is hands down non grany, super super tender, and the best way to end a meal. I went back days later to get tamales, and they were incredibly buttery smooth and had a feeling that just was so incredibly tender. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.After eating at hundreds of mexican restaurants throughout this country in the world, including mexico I don't know what they do.But this is a place you need to go to. I do not own this place.I just cannot believe how incredibly attentive.These people are to making simple food in such an incredible way. The staff is attentive.The atmosphere is very cute.And i've said this before, I certainly hope that this does not ruin the chances that I get to have a seat...

Excellent experience with the staff and food. I had the choriqueso for appetizer with an horchata to drink. I recommend this app because the chorizo to queso ratio was spot on for the flavor I wanted, and the portion and communal plating definitely made it perfect for a group, although I shamelessly ate it all to myself. The birria tacos were outstanding as well, with a perfect crunch in each bite of the tortilla and stringy cheese reminiscent of a good pizza. I was not happy about the close proximity in which another couple of patrons were sat, because the lady in the party was continously hacking during her meal which was an appetite killer. Fortunately, they arrived at the tail end of my meal, not for fear of covid but for the fact she kept trying to be polite and not cough towards her friend, so instead she turned her head and sent it my way. Some other notes were although small, it had plenty indoor and outdoor seating with a covered porch and outdoor counter serve window. I would defintely recommend and I would definitely return regularly as it's fairly close to work for me, the price is fair, and the food quality was outstanding, with good customer service to boot, which is a pairing that is not commonly found in restaurants...
