KFC — Restaurant in Lake Forest

Kentucky Fried Chicken to me that sounds a lot better than KFC. Normally, I would not bother to rate a Fast Food chain because they are all suppose to be the same. Who doesn't like KFC? Okay, maybe its not diet friendly and all other reviews were on their period when writing their reviews I can't help that. I have solution if you don't like KFC don't go there and b*tch about it afterward.

Now that I got that out of my system. I must say that KFC is not Popeye's and I agree Fast Food is very overrated. It should never be eaten EVER! If we listen to our doctors, but after today I can die happy. Not all KFC are created equal. Some places really know how to mess up chicken. Today's experience left my belly happy, so I must write about it YEAH! I'm only rating the food. You can't rate a Fast food joint based on service or cleanness lets be realistic. I cannot argue how authentic this is because I'm from CA I didn't grow up in The South, but KFC is some good eats.

After years of eating all the different styles of chicken, I fine Crispy to be my favorite. That flaky golden crust with hot sauce on the side is Finger Licking Good! The sides have always been what ever. I like to have sides to make it feel more like a meal. The Mash Potatoes are a bit watery, because they are made from a mix. The mac n cheese is a little too cheesy for my taste. The Potato wedges are taste you can't really mess those up. The Cole slaw is normal defrosted cabbage and mayonnaise. Some how together the sides are okay. The chocolate cake is good at times, dry and tasteless other times. The Kentucky Grill Chicken is nasty! Even when I sampled it twice for FREE.. I paid too much. I don't understand people that go there for KGC when there's a perfectly good El Pollo Loco across the street. I have not tried the AKA heart-stopper known as the Double Down. A sandwich made of 2 deep fried Chicken breasts with cheese and bacon in the middle no bread. Tempt, but yet not. That for sure is anti-ABs food.

If I never ate Taco Hell, McHeart-attack, BK, or Carl's I think I would be okay. When I return from China after 2 weeks of nothing but Chinese food for 3 meals a day KFC was my first welcome home meal. AWARD for best fast food chain goes to KFC! I have visited this KFC location on several occasions in the past and have generally had positive experiences. However, on this occasion, I placed an order through the KFC mobile application for a chicken sandwich. After picking up my order and returning home, I began eating the sandwich. Upon taking the first bite, I noticed the texture of the chicken seemed unusually rubbery, though I did not immediately suspect it was undercooked. After taking a second bite, I realized that the chicken was raw. Upon observing this, I became extremely alarmed and subsequently vomited.

This incident represents a serious breach of food safety standards. Serving undercooked chicken exposes customers to significant health risks, and the experience has caused me great distress, disgust, and concern. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of quality control demonstrated in this instance.

Given the severity of this issue, I am formally requesting a full refund for my purchase. Additionally, I urge KFC to address this matter promptly to ensure such a lapse does not...

I'm giving this place is three stars and by doing so I'm actually being generous. I've been coming here for years and they have a bit of turnover here and it doesn't always run that great. But still there's the manager Maggie and she is good so she helps keep this place afloat.

2/14/23 Update: I have now been coming here about 10 years. This KFC runs ok at best, but at times has a bit of turnover which leads to worse service. Also: today I showed up after 1030am. The car ahead of me moved forward in drive thru. I then proceeded to wait over 5 min with NO response. A car pulled behind me. I gave up and drove up to the window. NO ONE inside. Now 1045am.
