We came in on a Sunday afternoon for the first time and ordered takeout and I want to leave an honest review about our experience. We ordered a general tso chicken dinner combo, hot and sour soup, chicken lo mein noodles, boneless ribs and an order of crab Rangoon. Tbh the low mein doesn't taste like anything... they were soggy and not worth the 8 bucks. Moving on to the combo platter. The rice just like the lo mein, doesn't taste like anything. I can deal with the general tso chicken although it was extremely soggy after a 5 minute ride home. The hot and sour soup just like the lo mein and fried rice doesn't taste like anything. Bland, no sour and definitely a disappointment. Next we have the boneless ribs, they weren't terrible but definitely not what we are accustomed to. We like the The bone in ribs and they don't offer them. Last but not least we have the crab Rangoon which were ok and probably the best item we ordered. So for our first Chinese food experience in lake placid I give it a 2 star and we will never be back... Good luck hong Kong. oh I almost forgot they didn't add not one Fortune cookie to our order, no crunchy noodles and no soy or duck sauce. We got home and were very disappointed before ever trying the food itself. then when we did.. it added to the negative...
Read moreAbsolutely spotless establishment, I'm pretty sure you could eat off the floor here and it would be cleaner than your house. Got a few different items, general tsos shrimp which are Absolutely gigantic, pork lo mein size small.. I'm pretty sure it's two pounds of noodles I can't believe the portion size! Egg roll is fresh and juicy with no weird flavor they can sometimes have. There is real pork in the pork fried rice, first time in my life I've seen more than those little square chunks. The white rice is good-season to your liking. Rangoons are delicious, beef and pepper meal was very generous in portion too. We have ordered from this place three times now and are consistently impressed with each order and each item. They were Absolutely hopping, very busy at 8:45 on a Friday night and it still took less than 15 minutes to be ready-a quick drive from sebring. Highly enjoy this place, I don't have a bad word to say. It seems they also have some more authentic dishes, so if you are looking for more "home"style Asian foods I'd suggest trying here I'm sure they can make it.
Oh and true to type, the food stays hot for like two hours. I'm pretty sure they use a jet engine to cook, it's amazing what it...
Read moreI normally don't write bad reviews but we have always loved Hong Kong under the previous owners. First time getting from new ownership and we were highly disappointed. We had the egg rolls which were not greasy(only good thing about them) but the filling was mushy and no flavor, very weird texture. They did not put any sauces in the bag or ask if we wanted any. We both had the pork fried rice which we paid extra for, again the rice was mushy-over cooked. The bourbon chicken had no flavor. The orange chicken was extremely sweet and lacked any orange flavor. It also has a really bitter flavor. Not sure if we...
