Sketchy, depressing, and no longer worth it.
I used to enjoy coming here and never had any issues, but the place has deteriorated so badly and become so user-unfriendly, that it's almost a joke.
The "we don't take coupons right now" thing happens every few weeks on the regular.
The service has become so slow that it's wildly impractical. I can't imagine coming here on a short lunch break. I would be losing my mind. I've worked restaurants and never seen anything like this place.
Then there's the peeling wallpaper (going on a few months now; just big exposed chunks of wall like some 1980's New York tenement đ€Ł Maybe they really do want it to look like a 1980's subway station (note- I'm old enough to remember when the franchise started; you could stare at the subway maps on the wallpaper back then.), lack of restroom signage, and other issues that make me think it's become abandoned by an absentee owner or worse (a front?).
For the most part, the service has been good in the past, but the look of the place is so depressing now, and without coupons, you just can't justify spending that much money at this place.
If they could just fix up the place a tiny bit, put in a little bit of effort in and figure out how to accept coupons, they would be running a pretty great little spot in a good location for locals and visitors.
On a side note, the music in the back of the house is so loud and competes with the music in the front of the house which makes for misophonic hell. đ”âđ«
I don't even want to eat my sandwiches there anymore. There's another Subway across the lake that's a lot more comfortable and friendly, or better yet, visit places like Chicken Drive-In or any number of local spots.
Not sure how this location can even exist as a franchise anymore.
Come on, guys, get it together, or just close down.
You've got to know when...
Read moreThis place used to be ok. Now it's "meh" at best. Went to grab a couple sandwiches for lunch for my wife and I. It had been a while so I had to translate what we used to get to the new menu items. There seemed to be a language barrier. At least that is the most charitable characterization. That or there are serious competency issues at play.
I was told that it is not possible to toast a sandwich using flatbread. Either this has changed since the last time I was there or, again, incompetency abounds. I asked for marinara as a spread not like a pasta or pizza. The guy slathered it on like he was making spaghetti. He forgot the bacon add and during the veggie phase, they were shockingly stingy. Default was 3 tomatoes, 4 pickles, 4 cucumber slices, and 3 tiny pieces of green pepper. None of that even covered the footlong. Wtfo!? Asking for more adds an extra piece. Maybe ok for reasonable sized tomato slices but green pepper bits? Come on!
Anyway, it was a very expensive and horribly made sandwich and it tasted like...
Read moreOrdered on the Subway app and had a coupon for 3 foot-long sandwiches. One made with regular bread was fine. The two made with flatbread had only half the amount of ingredients (veggies, meat, cheese) they were supposed to have and then were rolled up the short way so essentially a half sub with âextra breadâ. When I pulled out the sandwiches and said they werenât long enough the guy told me he had made it a wrap instead of folding it in half lengthwise. Well then it should have been twice as fat with all the ingredients. What a rip off! Iâve never ordered with the app before and have always watched while they make the sandwich so wonât make that mistake again and wonât be going to the South Lake Stevens Road location again. Luckily, I have other Subway locations to choose from in...
