It is not really a sit down place, they do have a single counter with stools, which is where we say because we wanted to eat there. This used to be a drive in hamburger place, to go mainly, I used to come here from the park all the time when I was younger. Hence the layout. What they did inside was so fun, murals with a comic book theme. The cashier was so friendly. The food was amazing. My husband and I each got a Bandeja Paisa, a Colombian tray with sausage, fresh chicharron, pulled pork, beans, rice with a fried egg on top, fried plantain, an arepa and because of my allergies, just in my husband's plate, a slice of avocado, and a lime wedge. This was just like we had or actually, better then we had in Colombia. It was so good, the beans were so flavorful, every time we took a bite of something, we couldn't decide what part was our favorite. To drink we had postabon soda, yummy! It does fill up with people, we timed it right, but it was amazing!! We will be back, and trying everything!! I highly recommend...
Read moreComixxpress was such a fun surprise. We popped in kind of on a whim, craving something quick and the place immediately caught our attention. The whole space is covered in comic book art, It honestly felt like stepping into a comic store. You can’t help but look around the whole time.
I ordered the Choriperro, which I thought was just gonna be a Colombian-style hot dog, but it turned out to be a monster. The sausage had that nice grilled flavor, super juicy and then it was just piled with stuff, crispy fries, melted cheese, a mix of creamy sauces, and even pineapple. Every bite was amazing, salty, creamy, a little sweet, a little spicy. It definitely was a mess, but it was worth it.
We didn’t wait long, maybe 5 minutes after ordering, and the girl at the counter was friendly. The place was small but didn’t feel cramped. If you're curious about Colombian street food, definitely try it out. And get the Choriperro. It’s messy, delicious,...
