Read moreI'd been wanting to try this place for a while. I always loved Leons Barbecue when I lived on the southside in the Gresham area. As with most restaurants with multiple locations, we tend to favor certain locations over others. My favorite Leons was on 59th and Racine back in the day. So I planned to check out this Leons since I would be traveling out south(from Oak Park) anyway that day. After my 'Must' stops whenever I happen to go out south ( a Dats Donuts Big Ass Donut and a couple of Sweet Steak sandwiches from the Hoagy Place), I headed to Leons. Got there and immediately noticed the lot was empty, no smell of barbeque in the air nor smoke billowing from the building. "Are they closed?" I said to myself. Mind you at was about 4pm. Unfortunately, they weren't. Went in and first thing that stood out and in hindsight should've been a warning was the pit was shining like a new coin.... but no fire, no meat, no nothing. Just sitting there like the old swivel floor tv at your grandma's house that she used as a table. To make my already long story short, ordered a large tip, fries on top and they pulled out the tips from a warmer. Didn't even get the satisfaction of hearing the 'chop', 'chop' 'chop' of them cutting the tips. They were already were. Started the drive home.....yada yada yada....and it was the worst rib tips I'd even had. They were...
Read moreI have been coming here for years for lunch & order the same thing 4 PIECE TENDERS a couple times a month because how quick & efficient. The ONE time the cashier messed up my order which I noticed immediately & went right back bc I was gonna eat in my car(no dinning area). I politely went inside and asked for my order to be fixed because they mistakenly had given me a 4 piece chicken wing. Then cashier wanted to argue with me like a 5 year old going back and fourth. “No you said CHICKEN WING!” Why am I even going back a fourth with this idiot??? Then states “NO REFUND!” I never even asked for one??? Then continued to state “Since you left with it I can’t exchanged it either you would have to pay for the 4 piece chicken tenders.” At this point I was beyond pist & hungry. I left the food & took my ass to Popeyes! I will never step foot back in there, so CHECK YOUR FOOD in front of them because the cashier is not human & will never...
