See Thru Chinese Kitchen #13 — Restaurant in Lake Township

I was craving Chinese real bad. I can’t honestly say being from the northside and being a regular to Hwang on Wilson Broadway I expect Chinese food to taste just like there to have a lot of shrimp, green onions, and bean sprouts. However, no, it takes a lot for me to order food from the southside especially Chinese food. I decided to go ahead and give them a try and there’s nothing special about food. There’s no good flavor. There’s not a lot of egg. There is not a lot of shrimp. The egg foo young is all right, but again everything is flavorless like I have to add crushed pepper to my food to take. I really need people to open a pallet. This place is OK, but it ain’t the best past all the time so I have not stepped in to see whether not is clean but clean inside , probably will get food but if you just wanna satisfy appetite, you can go ahead...

I had to write on this experience because it left me so...shocked. I called the restaurant as it was close to my job and I had just gotten off work. I could barely understand the man taking my order and not in the way I'd struggle to understand someone with a heavy accent. It sounded like he was trying to sound "hood" (I hate using that term) and it made him nearly impossible to understand. I was also offput by the fact that asking for chicken egg foo young in the dinner special was an additional $2.00. When I asked about smoothies, he seemed to try to joke around and I had to ask many times for him to repeat himself, to no avail. I couldn't even place my order and decided to go elsewhere. They are very rude. I asked the guy on the phone about the delivery driver not bring the food to the door. And he was very nasty with his response. He even told me that he didn’t have to delivery to my door which is very weird. He proceeded to hang up on me. I called back to just place the order and he told me they can no longer deliver to me anymore and I need to go one Uber eats and order from now on. When I asked why he told me because and hung up on me. I called back to speak to a manager and he told me I could speak with one and hung up again.
