Well, for starters, 3 of the 5 people in our party got food poisoning. I only give this 2 stars because my son and his friend frequent this place for giant pancakes and breakfast skillets. They ate breakfast skillets this night, and they were fine. My youngest son ate a hamburger and spent the next day on the toilet. My husband ordered the hot roast beef sandwich, and he spent 2 days on the toilet and a whole night with terrible stomach cramps. I suffered the same as my husband. Although I had the Philly cheesecake sandwich, I also suffered terrible stomach cramps and diarrhea. My Philly was not a Philly at all. It was chunks of steak (I'm gonna say round steak). It was very chewy, the strips were thick. Not at all like a traditional philly. The bun was hard as though the sandwich had been microwaved. It was not pleasant. We arrived at approximately 7:30 and were told immediately that they closed at 8, but they would still serve us. It took them at least 30 minutes to get us our crappy food. I ordered a salad with mine instead of French fries. The waitress forgot my salad and brought the salad after all the other food was on the table. In hindsight, I wish we had left when they told us that they closed...
Read moreSmall down diner vibes, the kind that has a bunch of different types of pie. I've been here before but today was exceptional! Me and my sister were on a short lunch break but I was craving pie so we chose to hedge our bets at a sit-in restaurant. When I asked how long it usually takes the food to come out I mentioned only having a half hour, but I'd eat super fast if needed. I heard the hostess tell the server/kitchen I was on a time crunch, and our server Carol (I believe that's what her name was) was fantastic! She got our order in right away and was generally amazing. I would've given her a $100 tip if I could, she definitely deserved it. Even tho I only spoke to Carol today, every time I've been here in the past I've gotten great service (from current AND past employees, so they must only hire the best 😉). The food was delicious as well but at a diner...
Read moreBanana cream pie was bad. False advertising on the first page of the restaurant's website as it applies to banana cream pie "We use the freshest ingredients and serve wonderful home cooked meals." Check the pie case before ordering. The banana cream pie was not homemade as I no sign of whole bananas. It was processed food and obviously from frozen. They must have ran out of homemade and tried to pass off a slice from a cheap frozen pie like you buy from Walmart. It was a small piece and not thick. Price was high besides at $4.75. I complained and was given a different type of pie but was still charged for the banana cream. Hot Beef meal was really good. Just don't get the half order. Evidently the manager isn't very good at math as the half price($5.79) is 89% of the whole($6.50). Why bother with such a small price...
