I was there on 08/04/23 with my wife and son. Lisa was our guide, and it was an awesome tour!!! I bring my camera with me on every adventure, so the only thing I was bummed about is that there is no photography allowed inside...BUT that certainly did not take anything away from the experience. Lisa was an excellent tour guide and provided a lot of interesting information, and answered all of our questions. I would recommend this to anyone who is going to be in the area for sure!!!

Arthur Millette was the territorial governor and then the 1st state governor of South Dakota. It's nice that their home, which they lived in for 10 years is free to the public AND provides a free tour. 1870s architecture. The winding staircase is very cool. I wouldn't personal want to use it everyday though!

It's nice that their home, which they lived in for 10 years is free to the public AND provides a free tour. 1870s architecture. The winding staircase is very cool. I wouldn't personal want to use it everyday though!

Tour guide was VERY pleasant, well informed and added many details, keep the interest of students as well of adults. I would recommend it to anyone interested in HISTORY. A BEAUTIFUL house, too. I do plan to return for another...
