Kooker's — Restaurant in Lake Zurich

UPDATE: Thursday, February 22, 2024: I have a unique medical condition. I was in the parking lot by Kooker's this evening and went in to ask to use the restroom. It was URGENT. The male seated next to the counter said NO ONLY FOR CUSTOMERS. I tried to explain that I am a frequent customer, mentioned our names, and said I just picked up food a few days ago... but my situation was truly urgent. I needed the restroom ASAP, so I spent almost $12 on 2 shakes that I didn't want, so I could use the restroom!! THANKS FOR DISPLAYING THE UTMOST horrific LACK OF EMPATHY & CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I have been a Kooker's customer for years! Always fresh, hot, delicious food-prepared specifically by customers requests - if possible. Always goes above and beyond! Great recommendations when you are not sure what to choose from their extensive menu. Keeps track of customers' preferences and even sometimes calls to let us know about the special offers, etc! Honestly, they are very busy, so to take a moment to call a customer about something special going on with one of a customer favorites it true customer service at its best!! Great mom & pop shop that unfortunately feels hindered by location. Parking is hideous as it's close to the road and for the most part, shared among 2-3 other restaurants.

Since trying my first order, I can't guarantee a 100% awesome meal from this restaurant. You really get what you pay for, though from time to time it seems like it's one of the three of it being overcooked, too salty, or flat out too much sauce. (Please taste test your food!)

My favorites out of getting my fill have so far been the meatball sandwich and the pulled pork sandwich. The meatballs in the sandwich are flat out massive and they need to be cut in half at times unless your jaw wants to be sore. The pulled pork was great, but you could visibly see the doneness on the bun.

The part that irks me a lot is that all of them are wrapped in a way that turns them into sweaty messes. I wouldn't mind if the burgers or hotdogs had time to rest, but every time I order anything, the condiments are caked onto the bread.

They serve tasty comfort food deals during the week. Had a roast beef a while back, and would love to catch a chance with ordering from here again once...

Kooker’s catered my recent party at the American Legion in Lake Zurich, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! We ordered Italian beef sandwiches, Chicago-style hot dogs, pasta salad, potato salad, coleslaw, and baked beans—and everything was a hit. They arrived on time, were courteous and professional throughout the entire process, and even accommodated a 20% increase in my RSVP count during the final week.

My guests couldn’t stop raving about the food and even asked where it came from so they could visit Kooker’s themselves. Every dish was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend Kooker’s for any catering needs—they made my party stress-free...
