Country Chicken and Fish has been a pillar of our community, a foundation that's historic. Mr Keith and Miss Deborah have always shown hospitality, dignity, respect, and integrity, mainly love, and everyone was family no matter of race, gender, or religion . I used to work there. I stayed right across the street. Country chicken and fish now are not that anymore. I understand that a business and Corporate America buy places, and they only run it the same for a few months, and then that's when greed surfaces. Price changes the quality and quantity, and atmosphere changes. I stopped going due to the price and service and quality and quantity of the food. I spoke with the manager, and I inquired about this matter and my food .I explained I do goggle reviews, and I'm a consumer, and this is not right and fair to consumer. I was asked not to do the review and come back, and they will fix it. I stand on morals, dignity, respect, and truth. I will not let anyone bribe me for food or anything for that matter. My reviews help consumers and consumers need to know. The economy is high when individuals have to choose to pay bills and can't feed their families because everyone is price gouging. That's sad. I hear people talk about it but won't do anything about it. I pass there now, and it's not packed like it used to be. The lunch rush. The church rush on Sundays the community. I only see individuals who don't have means to go some place, eles or transportation. This establishment was known for honesty and love, and no one went to bed hungry. That's family, that's love. This is my review, not what anyone told me. My experience and I'm very displeased and very disappointed. I am the voice of the community we are and always be family. When you have faith, you won't lose. When you look at people as people, not how to make money. Your volume will evolve. Greed only...

EVERY time I visit my family in Florida, I HAVE to go there to get my tender gizzard fix! I have traveled up and down the east coast and the southwestern states over the years, in search of my favorite fried food: okra and there have only been a handful of places that do it right...this place is definitely NUMBER ONE for PERFECT southern cooking. I don't even try to order gizzards anywhere else because I have always been disappointed. If I hadn't had my very first tender gizzard from Country Chicken and Fish, I wouldn't have been so spoiled by their gizzards but I probably would never have tried another one! To be honest, I looked at my friend (who initially suggested I try a gizzard) like he was crazy because the name gizzard just sounds gross but SO glad that I did because the way this place makes them, they're delicious! I have tried everything they have on the menu and everything was just perfect. Even the greens are like my grandmother's but unfortunately, my grandma never made gizzards or okra but if she did, this place would likely give her a run for the money (she was a great southern cook!)! You cannot go wrong with anything choice from the menu. They make everything fresh so you do have to wait a little longer for your drive-thru or pickup window order but it is SO WELL WORTH IT! The wait isn't bad though so DON'T let that deter you because I promise you, you will love everything that you get. When I come down to visit, my Mom gets excited because she knows she's going to get some amazing southern food at least once during my stay (I think she forgets that she can go there without me, lol!)!

Now I live in the world of the low carb lifestyle but I still cheat one time in Florida just so I can taste heaven before I return home to PA. Seriously, it's the best place for wonderful take out southern...

There are very few places that satisfy my high expectations, and Country Chicken & Fish definitely exceeded them for the type of eating establishment that they are!

I literally couldn't control myself on the drive home because the smell of food was playing a joke on my nose. With every bit of self control I had I managed to pop just one gizzard into my mouth. Let me let you guys in on a little secret: I hated gizzards! I always found them to be super chewy and even though most people get the seasoning right, they fail at the texture. Well, let me be the first one to reveal that this place has changed my mind about gizzards! They're tender, juicy and seasoned to perfection. Now, I won't just go and order them myself, but every time my husband does I will steal a few of his.

I ordered the 1-piece fish (corn meal or battered) and 2-piece chicken combo that comes with two sides I chose mac and baked beans.

IMO the mac wasn't cheesy enough, but paired with the baked beans and I found a match made in heaven! Definitely the best baked beans I've had at a restaurant!

The chicken was seasoned to perfection (I will get wings from now on, they're my fave) and the fish actually had flavor.

There is NO dinning in, you stand outside or drive thru, order and pay when they come back with your food. Everyone here was kind, there's a difference between being rude verses being straight to the point. IMO they're straight to the point.

They have me as a customer forever and I can't wait to try the rest of the menu! There's nothing like food cooked with a little...
