If you are looking for red snapper, salmon, grouper, Mullet, crab, shrimp, and other fresh seafood, this is the place. The quality is really good, they offer cleaning of the fish to your liking. Customer service is really good and the ladies are very professional. I gave a 3 star rating because I would have loved to see a variety of sizes and more species. The price point per pound was $16.99. This is really high in comparison to other places. All in all, I would say. If you need fresh fish in the Lakeland area, stop in and check them out.
Update. I have been seeing different size fish and varying price points. This week, (9/11/23) I paid $8.99 per pound for red snapper. They have incorporated a numbering system, which makes it easier to assist customers. Customer service is still top notch, and they now have more employees to help with the huge crowds, especially on weekends. This is still the only place I shop for fresh...
Read moreI just started making purchases here about 1 month ago. Im from maryland and there one thing about Florida when looking for blue crabs. Blue crabs are hard to find live in the lakeland region. I started coming here and it definitely works. I would suggest asking when the fresh batch of blue crabs arrived/arrives and try to coordinate getting there as soon as the crabs arrive. Though i would say an average of 1.5 crabs per dozen are dead when i get them home, thats a typical number. In Maryland, 1 bushel will yeild apprx 8 dead crabs, though much fresher and active live keeping/housing. So the crabs are delicious. I know the larger you get the crabs, the more you "feel" you will get, but the small crabs actually yields more meat (in my opinion). The in house crab seasoning is perfect, and they also have old bay seasoning. This is definitely my first stop for fresh seafood in the...
