Krunchy Krab Seafood & Wings Restaurant — Restaurant in Lakeland

What a wonderful place! I live in Lake Wales and every month I have to come out to Lakeland to a doctors appointment, and this time we decided that we wanted to find some good seafood before we headed back home. I searched good crab legs near me, and I looked at every option around, and trust me there were a lot! But based on reviews, this one seemed the most convenient and the highest rated! So I decided to call but the first phone call rang about eight times and went to voicemail. I was a little upset, but decided I was only five minutes away and decided to just drive there and I would place my order when I got there, but within about 30 seconds after hanging up, they called me back! Honestly, I was shocked. I have never had a business do that lol he then proceeded to ask what I would like to eat, and I told him about my picky son, and he put together a platter just for him, then he took the rest of my order for me and my daughter and he was extremely polite! When I pulled up, I paid and he told me I could wait in my car and he would bring the order right to me, but I decided to get out stretch our legs I also had my French bulldog, and I noticed that there was a park right across the street! So we hung out at the park for about 15 minutes and when I walked back to my car and put everyone in the car again he came to the window with my bag and told me to make sure I hold it upright so none of the juices fall out and to drive home safely. We immediately opened the order and took pictures and we all tried some and when I tell you the sauce that he puts on here is incredible! It’s a garlic butter with a little kick to it. It definitely has some Cajun in it, but it has a twist of lemon too, which I absolutely love! We will definitely be back next month! The prices were incredible! I can’t believe the amount of food that I got for that price. I don’t know how this guy stays in business! And the park across the street was a wonderful touch. It was a nice way to stretch our legs and if I had more time, honestly would have sat there and ate dinner! Lol I will also note that there is not much parking, but luckily I was able to pull up in one of the possibly two spots you can park on the right side of the building, you can also pull right up in the front probably two or three cars could fit there and there is parking around the park so if you wanna park at the park and walk there you can. I also noticed about six other people come up and place an order while I was waiting on my food so this is a very popular place! All of the locals come here! I know I would if I lived in the area, definitely check it out if...

Can I get these guys 6, 7 or 8 stars!? This place is the best place to get seafood (mostly shellfish) in Lakeland… and I’ve been searching for 3 years! This is a carry out location, so they’ll make you lunch or dinner so you don’t have to worry about dirtying your stove! (However, I highly suggest some news paper and lots of paper towels so you can get in there and really enjoy this treat!)

The portions are generous and the seafood is FRESH at this family owned hole in the wall treasure!!! We were trying to figure out where to get some seafood for Ash Wednesday after a long day of work, so we finally ordered from Krunchy Krab, and my only regret is not coming here sooner! It’s a takeout only place, but the food comes out piping hot so you can head home to enjoy fresh!

Bonus points on the preparation! The shrimp were despined & had no heads! The green lip muscles were opened and served on a half shell. My mom hasn’t stopped talking about the corn… she even stole my dad’s!!! 😂 The snow crabs are meaty and tender, cooked to perfection. The potatoes soak up their glorious, slightly spicy sauce! It’s flavorful more than “spicy,” so most pallets will love!

On top of all the yummy food, the service was fantastic too! You can tell that this is a locally owned business that’s a part of the Lakeland community.

A+ for nights you want amazing seafood without any of the work! Orders can be small for a few people or huge for a party. I’ll be back… a lot! See you...

Best food in Lakelands hands down. In Lakelands you have churches chicken, all the way to checkers. If your going to spend 8.00, 5.00 or $10 for a meal, theres no better place to go than krunchy crab seafood of texas and 5th ave in lakelands. They have a full menu with plenty side menus to choose from. When i got there i didnt know what to order so i asked the guy that works there and he recommended the fish sandwich. I told him i was hungry. I also ordered a order of crawfish with the garlic butter sauce. Where i was staying is just around the corner from this krunchy crab. So once the food was ready, they brought the food out to my vehicle as they told me they would bring my food out. They brung me my food with great sevice, but i could tell from the weight in the bag that my fish sandwich was huge. So i drove real fast to get to eating and i must say, this fish sandwich is the best ive ever had. Not only that, i used the crawfish juice with my sandwich and it made it even that much better. The food is so good. Ive been back every night since. They close at 8pm and im not sire about the weekends yet. Take 37 north, take a right on 5th ave. Go a few blocks and on the left you will see this restaurant. Look for black and red checkered drive way. Must get the fish sandwich, scallops, crawfish, crabs...
