Riverside Express Seafood — Restaurant in Lakeland

My utmost recent experience with this particular restaurant at the location of South Florida avenue in Lakeland my experience with this particular place was extremely horrible. Even from the general manager AKA Mrs Mitchell refused to give me an order that belonged to a customer that I was supposed to deliver by Uber eats. Mrs Mitchell wanted me to confirm the order while I was in the restaurant which is against Uber's policy to confirm an order while inside the restaurant and we are only supposed to confirm the order when we are on our way. I tried explaining this to Mrs Mitchell which Mrs Mitchell said that" she does not care and that she has been doing this for years". And that it is their policy to make drivers confirm before leaving the restaurant with the order when in the policy of uber that is states to pick up at the counter inside. Nothing about confirming while inside. Mrs Mitchell said that she was going to report me to Uber and I told her that's perfectly fine. That I was going to do the same myself because of her violation of Uber eats policy. For which I was not able to deliver the food which I greatly apologize to the customer if they read this. But when it comes to managers or employees that want us Uber drivers to violate our own policies I'm just not that person to do so. I feel that the general manager has an anger management problem. And within her own mission statement violates her own policies. Really believe that the owners really need to reevaluate this manager's position and make a change for someone that has more business / moral ethics while operating a business. Also while dealing with the confrontation outside there was also another individual that was waiting for their meal that was told to park their car for 20 minutes and still have not received their food. I am so glad I finally tried this place! It is a little dive on a mostly industrial/fast food road, and not much to look at, but the food is delicious! Their fried shrimp are fantastic--juicy and plump, yet light and crispy on the outside with delicious seasoning. Their prices are excellent, and you can get a number of different combos, adding fried oysters, clams, or fish to the shrimp and fries. The conch fritters are also good. If fried isn't your thing they also have some non-fried options such as shrimp scampi and grilled fish. Everything I've had there has been delicious, and the people working there (including the owners) are very friendly. I usually call ahead to order and take my food to go, but I have seen some people dine in. It is a counter-service place with not much decor, but they make up for it in the food! This restaurant is the absolute BEST "fast food" SEAFOOD you could ever imagine! The team here lead by the honest, hard working family loving gentleman ALIM is the top notch example of what everyone should expect from ANY restaurant ‼️ These people just do it perfectly, correctly and D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.L.Y every time!!!
