Lyndall's Sports Stop Grill — Restaurant in Lakeport

I rarely give a place 5 stars, this is one of em.

I walked my way up the street from the brick bar, since Kelseyville was doing one of it's summer Thursday street fairs, and I was in the mood for a burger. People told me this place does the best burgers in town, and I was going to find out if it was true (it is!)

I popped in, sat down, and in just a sec the waitress greeted me with a smile. That's down-home small town friendly goodness. So I ordered a shock top beer which came with a slice of orange and glancing the menu I got one of their massive western burgers, cooked medium rare, which had bacon and yummy fixins, bbq sauce and fries. (Sure, you can opt for a green salad or potato, but I was in a western mood and that seemed perfect).

The place was fairly quiet on a Thursday night but I can imagine it gets busy sometimes. People are dang friendly, even the people sitting around the tables had a positive vibe goin, as you would expect.

Anyway, I finished my burger and had myself another beer, ordered to go because when they have the street fair you can walk down the street with alcohol hehe, coolness.

In Canada, you have french fries with grave and cheese curd melted on it and this is called poutine. The next best thing is to just get some gravy and pour it over your fries, which I told the gal I had a strange request, she complied, and I had gravy covered fries in no time, which went really really well with my awesome cheeseburger.

I was in nirvana practically, this was the best dang burger I've had in the past few years (except what my wife makes, which is the best in the world of course!) -- Alberta Canada has great steaks cooked or not cooked as raw as you like, but they usually make your burgers overly crispy well-done because people are scared of mad cow disease or some imaginary health issues. Not so in California (at least not that issue, lol!)

Service was awesome. Beer was $3 a pop cheap - if your ever on main street lake county Kelseyville, then go there!!

They have outdoor and indoor and bar seating, take your pick. Nice bit of parking for you and 20 or 30 of your best friends, and when the parking lot gets too full from your car club's long procession of custom rides, well there's plenty of street parking down...

Great food!! Little tiny diner type resturant... with some extremely surprising awesome prime rib very tasty. Best actually I have ever tried at a resturant.. I've never had anything else from there but I'm thinking it has to be good. I'll definately will be returning. I definately recommend trying it if uhaven't. .

Hello I’m extremely disappointed to say that I’m not as fond of this place as I once was before! My family and I have went to eat there or ordered to go about 7 or 8 times now since the first time. I usually order prime rib every time since the taste is awesome. One of the times we went it wasn’t available so my husband and I trued the rib steak. I never eat steak like rib steak at a restutant because usually tasteless. But it was very good! Any way every time we went the food was great but the bill was extremely high for what we had ordered and I had the waitress go over the charges the last 2 times.. my daughters birthday $175 for only my husband my son my daughter and I . And at least $150 ever time to go. And the last time it was $165 and as she was itemizing the bill she says plus it’s $5 extra per potatoe order if u get the works meaning a potatoe with bacon cheese chives and sour cream. I was extremely surprised considering baked potatoe is a choice on the menu. Plus I ordered salad with my daughters food and was so disappointed I payed for the salad extra and had to pay for a replacement of French fries plus didn’t even recieve the fries Incase we...
