Crown Donut — Restaurant in Lakeway

While the interior looks like your basic small town donut place, the donuts taste a lot better than those. Just trying one donut hole told me the difference. Most places seem to use the same batter but this place makes them taste like vanilla. We wanted to try almost all the donuts and while we were picking through them, the worker did everything with a smile while also simultaneously working the drive thru. She bounced around and never showed discomfort and annoyance. She was happy to add filling to some which made her have to also run to the back and back to the front. It was nice to see they also have gluten free on certain days. When we were done, she had another big smile while saying thank you for coming by. Nothing spectacular inside but no one cares. The coffee is by Coffee Traders by the way. I’ve heard of rave reviews for them. My blueberry cake donut was basic but still loved it and my kids loved the themed donuts. This place is so cute! Love the decor. Everything is tied together just perfect with the coolest craft decor creating a welcoming and fun homey atmosphere!

You'll get a big smile and the friendliest of greetings when you walk in. You'll immediately feel like their most important customer. (They also have a drive through and service is incredibly speedy!)

Prices are extremely reasonable and the quality of the items are outstanding! I don't know that I've had a donut anywhere else that was this delicious. The dough is fluffy, perfectly moist, and the sweetness is just perfect! The kolaches are savory and tasty as well. I left wanting more because they were so good! 😋 😋 😋

P.S. Anyone who writes a bad review on this establishment probably always finds something to complain about, just likes to watch the world burn, and/or is probably already having a bad day and shouldn’t be writing reviews amidst their own emotional instability.
