The only reason this restaurant is still in business, is because there is no alternative. We are staying at the Lakeway resort and have 'dined' in this restaurant two nights in a row. The first night was forgetful, overpriced and painfully slow, which was surprising since we were the only table on a Thursday at 6pm. The following night however, we decided to go again out of lack of options. The restaurant was about 1/4 full and we ordered cocktails and the nights special appetizer of oysters on the half shell. 90 minutes later we received our appetizers which were on salt, not ice which was totally abnormal. Two of the couples we were with sent it back because it was so odd. My husband and I ate ours, and while it was the worst oyster experience of my life, I think they were safe... Then comes the main course. My husband ordered the same club sandwich he had the night before, however this time it was so incredibly spicy!! There was absolutely no reason for the spice. It wasnt on the menu that way and the only explanation is retaliation for spending back the oysters. I literally will never step foot in that...
Read moreHow does this place have 4.1 stars? It is part of the resort so you’d expect near fine dining but it’s anything but. The building itself needs to be updated and it’s clear the dining room is converted from banquet halls, is an awkward layout. The waiters are all international which is cool except they cannot answer simple questions about the menu, make recommendations, and forget about asking anything regarding wine.
Lastly, the food is wholly underwhelming. There is a breakfast buffet that runs $25/pp and is what you’d get at a holiday inn free breakfast. We offered breakfast ala carte and it was okay, nothing horrible but nothing special.
Another day we got the meat and cheese board which was served is plastic cups with lids.. horrible presentation but even worse the prosciutto was old and discolored. It’s was not good and cost $30. Additionally, the cocktails are fine but nothing outstanding and are $20 each. Even a basic Jack & Coke was over $15.
Lastly, we ordered bbq.. Meat was dry with very little flavor, beans tasted like they were dumped out of a can.
DON’T waste a meal here, there are so many other,...

Quality of servers has been declining. The most recent guy simply told us “no” when asking for customizations to our meals. Many only come with fries as a side, and when we ask to change them for something else we were told “no” rather than “yes, but there is a small upcharge if you don’t mind”. We were brought fries that were literally cold.
The kids meal side options are fries or salad. No kids get salad lol. Would appreciate fruit or broccoli or some other options.
The balcony outside is not up to code. The gaps are very wide - one of our friends’ kids almost fell through and would’ve been very hurt.
They also tried to sneakily add a required 20% tip for large group and then said it was a “service charge” and that tip wasn’t included.
This is the only restaurant at the resort and we expect better. Management really needs to work on it!
I don’t care if you charge $100 per plate. Just tell me “yes” when I ask for something and allow me to pay and tip generously rather than trying to...
