Great Harvest Bread Co — Restaurant in Lakewood

I had a really horrible experience there recently. Two employees were so nasty when I signed up for a rewards program and then the free sandwich that was offered for signing up wasn’t honored. One employee yelled out across the store too when I inquired about this and I told the owner about it. She was nice and told me she would add some things to my account to make up for it and review the camera footage that shows one of the employee’s incredibly nasty conduct in front of customers.I never heard back after we spoke and nothing was added to my account. Corporate never responded to me either. I know the owner of that store had something going on and I completely understand but this should have been on her radar. The excuse is that the owner was out for awhile and they are stressed. Their disgusting behavior has no excuse and they should be ashamed. I won’t go back. Thank you to John though for at least being so nice and giving me the free sandwich but the owner should have done a lot more. Corporate didn’t seem to care either. I'm sad that I've lost one of my favorite local resources. In the past, I could walk into your shop and be immersed in the magical smells of baking bread. But now I'm greeted with the stench of atomized, burning oil from the flat top grill in your sandwich section. That stench permeates your shop, permeates my clothing, clings to my hair, and has absolutely ruined the magic of your bakery. I'd bet that if you're observant, you would note a marked decrease in the number of customers who linger at the tables in your shop and who, assumedly, would make multiple purchases while enjoying the once magical but now toxic atmosphere. Please, please, please get adequate ventilation for that monstrous fume-making grill....or better yet, get rid of it and go back to doing what you do best, which is baking wondrous bread and sharing that joy with...

Best service I've experienced from any establishment in quite a while! I've always been a fan of Great Harvest and I stopped by this location for the first time ever after work on Monday to pick up some raspberry scones (my favorite and Monday is when they're made at this location). Unfortunately, I was too late and they were all out, so I placed an pre-order for some blackberry scones instead, which I planned to pick up on Friday. Today (Friday and also my birthday), I stopped by to pick up the blackberry scones and to my delight, I was told that they were able to make the raspberry scones for me! They were absolutely delicious and I will definitely be frequenting this location more often! Thank you for making my birthday...
