In-N-Out Burger — Restaurant in Lakewood

This In N Out will always have a special place in my heart, as it's where I first tried the double double, the chocolate shake, those fresh cut, but not so great, fries. Having said that, I never go here.

Why? The wait's too damn long!

This is how In N Out used to be, many moons ago. 2 drive thru lanes bookending the kitchen, a walk-up window with a few tables covered by umbrellas and a large structure to sit on while waiting for your particular order. I had to stomach this in my younger years, as this used to be the nearest In N Out location. Now, I just head to the one at the Long Beach Town Centre that's a sit down restaurant.

Seriously, you're looking at waiting at least 20 minutes in your car, wasting gas & dreaming about being elsewhere. A few parking spaces, with street parking available, too.

Service has been good, like at most In N Out's. The staff, for the most part, seem happy to be working there & helpful when needed. Just be careful not to hit one of them, as the right drive thru intersects between the kitchen &, I think, the supply room. You'll see employees scatter inbetween as the cars go by.

I love me some In N Out, but with nearby sit down locations at the Long Beach Town Centre & across from Cerritos College, I cannot recommend coming here. Only if you're a purist, who has the nostalgia bug of yesteryear & wants the old school feel of the drive thru, as I imagine Sonic must be like, save yourself the hassle & go to one of the locations I...

Mostly the people that work here are helpful and kind with one exception who I won’t name. He always seems to be angry at work and doesn’t appear to be a good employee. Always grumpy when asked simple questions, rarely speaks to me when I speak to him first. Rarely answers the questions about the products they offer and the other day when I was falsely accused by him of ripping them off and I was just wondering why did they have a problem with me and the other people who had been there for awhile. He proceeded to tell me that I wasn’t able to shop at the 7/11 any longer and he proceeded to tell me what to do about my job. I’ll be in touch with my buddy today if I have a chance to get a ride to the store I’ll grab ya some stuff from there tomorrow or Wednesday evening . if I can get to the shop tomorrow I will certainly be able to get under his nerves for which he deserves. with my wallet full of money he witnessed he proceeded to tell me about my inaccurate statement and the fact he proceeded to say that I was just trying to get my money out and then I wanna pay cash I gotta get that clown some people that don’t have any manners and then he’ll get the point of it. Told girl no ice in my drink please, she gave me cup full of ice. I asked her to exchange for another one without ice please, she said there was no ice. I handed drink to her after shaking it to a raging cup full of frozen furry.

She took my cup and poured it out aggressively. Then she refilled my drink but left one ice cube in it. I asked her if it had no ice she said no. I showed her ice and asked for a new cup. She poured out the single ice cube and gave it back to me.

I reached for the cup and let it fall when she thought I had it. I then asked for another new cup with no ice. She finally gave me one without ice. I shook it and asked her if there was no ice. She said no. I asked her to show me and she did. Then i took my cup and said, "Was that so hard?"

I think she quit after the 3rd...
