As with most of the parks in the city of Lakewood, the restrooms are clean. The fields are nice and safe. The play areas (referring to the locations where the children climb, slide, hang, play in the sand, etc.) is usually good. There are instances where the kids have gotten sand up to and onto areas it should not be. But that is to be expected with kids.

Always watch your children, not matter what park you may attend on on Earth, as some parents will shift their attention between watching their own child(ren) to doing something else that is not as important.

Do not let your kid(s) run on the cement adjacent to the sand area. Too many times have I been a witness to where kids slip and fall due to the combination of sand, cement, shoes, and less friction. One child banged their side, arm, and head pretty good.

What I can only refer to as a small banquet hall can be a great location for a small party. Please contact the location for details about using this room, but I believe it is solely for residents of the city, and must be booked well in advance, perhaps 60 days (?).
