Lake City Pub — Restaurant in Lakewood

Nice little place to go eat if you like food that would satisfy a 5 yr old child. The dinner menu items are less than subpar and something I could make at home out of a box. My husband had the Chorizo Ragu and it tasted like Hamburger Helper and I'd say there was more hamburger in it then Chorizo to what I tasted. I had the smoked brisket pot pie thing and it was pretty much chunks of roast cooked in a ton of liquid smoke mixed with gravy peas and carrots then topped with unrolled crescent roll dough. If you eat here I'd stick to the burgers which looked way more appetizing. Im pretty disappointed for sure after reading a review saying this food was incredible I didn't expect such poorly put together food. As far as the service went it took over 10 minutes to get a waitress's attention. We sat down and we were ignored as another group of 4 came in and sat at a adjacent table 5 minutes after us so I actually sat on the other side of our table so that I could stare at the waitress who ignored us and I presume the owner who was standing there noticed my annoyed look on my face. Another couple at a table were also having the same problem who decided after 1 beer each left and didn't want to order food anymore. This place does have a nice area to watch sports and I hear from my cousin the music on Wednesday night is pretty good. They have a really nice outdoor area to enjoy on the backside of the bar for enjoying in the warmer days and nights. So for a neighborhood Pub it alright but just stick to the burgers and salads and wear some bright colored clothes to get a waitress to notice you are...

I really hate to have to give this bar one star. For the record, I don't usually write reviews because I understand everybody has bad days. We came here several weekends last year and had great experiences with service, food and the crowd.

We were boating on the lake and decided to get some food and drinks but it was a completely different experience. Perhaps under new management? The bar was dead.The nachos and burgers we ordered were all overcooked and burned. Watch out for the small pieces of foil in the nachos. There was way too much burger sauce on a soggy bun. The burgers had a very odd fishy odor and taste as well. All the veggies were rotten on the salads. My husbands beer was very warm in a dirty glass. The women's room had an offensive sewage smell mixed with some cheap toliet spray. I noticed the cook who with piercings on her face did her business but forgot to wash her hands or cover her mouth while she's coughing coming out of the stall. Speaking of bathrooms, we all agreed there must of been some dead bodies in the mens room. You can smell the stench all the way to the bar. No air conditioning or fans. All of us agreed, the heavy set, blonde who served us gave the the worst service we ever received. She never asked why all of our food was hardly touched. She was very rude and condescending. A group of coworkers went to the Pub a few weeks ago after work (5:30 on a Thursday ) and had a great time. The food was really good, triple berry margaritas rocked. Maybe the best patty melt I have ever had and everyone enjoyed their meal. We thought this would become our regular spot( we meet every other week).

This past Thursday we once again met at the Pub after work. It was an awful experience. The margaritas were in smaller glasses without the berries (for $14 it was not worth it)and my patty melt bread was burnt on both sides.

The worse part was (1) It was too warm and stuffy (doors open, no AC and hot outside) (2) we moved a small tableabout two feet so the group could sit together and a older lady came over and lectured and shamed us for disturbing the well planned layout which "was done with a lot of consideration to the placement of each table" and " you can leave it for now since it is already done but in the future don't move anything". There was only one table occupied by the back door and a couple of people sitting at the bar so it wasn't like we were creating a hardship for the server.

In summation, the Pub has lost valuable business ( a group of 7 -12 on a slow, early Thursday evening, biweekly) due over aggressive approach and decline in ...
