Taste of philly opens at 10:30am & I pulled up at exactly 10:50am. Walked in and was greeted instantly. I scanned the menu and went with the works ( pretty much what you would expect from a Philly cheesesteak) & onion rings which cashier said was best in town.... Well definitely not the best onion rings. I was expecting a house made unique batter but it was plain Jane... Sandwich đŸ„Ș satisfied my hunger but I can honestly say It will NOT đŸš« be calling me by my first name next time I need some quick grub.. not enough cheese not enough red or green peppers just bland bland bland ... the meat is chopped 1/4” size and will fall everywhere.... I really wanted to like this place. If this is how a real Philly cheesesteak is made then I can show you a better way to make one..

I hate being "that guy" but why can't I get a correct order from here? I don't like cheddar cheese on a philly. But I do like green Chile on it. The green Chile Philly comes with cheddar. So I order a regular Philly(with white American) and add green Chile. And I'm served a green Chile Philly (with cheddar cheese). This is the third time this has happened!! If I wanted cheddar cheese, I would've gotten the green Chile Philly. Ughh so frustrating. I still prefer Taste of Philly over Jersey Mike's but at least they get the order right every time!

So I bought 2 original Philly cheesesteaks for dinner last night, 1 with no onion and double the White cheese on both and I added bacon to both, so I think I got double meat on both because while it was so very tasty it lacked the cheese that I Love in a Philly cheese steak. We agreed that even with that misshap and we added extra cheese ourselves, it was still better than most. 4 out of 5 stars from us. 😋

I used to love Taste of Philly and recommend their Philly Cheesesteaks until my last visit there a couple of weeks ago. I really like sweet pickled peppers on a Philly Cheesesteak & always ask for lots of them. It is one of the defining taste of a Philly cheesesteak for me - they were on the first one I ever had when I fell in love with them at Philadelphia Mikes (in Bethesda, Maryland). I was happy years ago when I found Taste of Philly as they had the right type of bread, the right type of cheese and sweet pickled peppers. But when I last went to Taste of Philly as ask for my cheesesteak with sweet pickled peppers, they told me they no longer served them. They’re a chain and their management no longer orders them and serves them. Taste of Philly has lost my business and my recommendation as what they serve is no longer what I call a Philly Cheesesteak. I have bought a gallon jar of sweet pickled peppers before. They’re not expensive. I find both the taste and lack of wanting to please the customer of this chain to be distasteful. This is NOT a complaint about the local employees of this store. They have always been nice and pleasant to me since they opened this location 10-15 years ago. I’ve already found another Philly cheesesteak place that makes them with sweet pickled peppers they way I like them at...

I'm torn on how to review them. I love their cheese steak, especially the mushroom and these guys are super polite when taking your order. I live close by and if it wasn't the closest cheese steak to me I may not go back, but I every time I crave a cheese steak I end up here. They can never get my order right. The last 4 times my wife and I ordered food there has been an issue. First they forgot our order of fries on a pick up. When my wife went back she was handed a bag (she should have checked) there was a salad in there, not fries. The next time we ordered delivery. We waited for over an hour. I finally called back and was told the order was sent out 20min ago. Another half hour and I got the same answer, it went out 20min ago...hmmm. Ok so we finally got our food 2 hours after we ordered. It was ice cold and the fries soggy. The following order we got fries instead of onion rings, not a big deal but still wrong. The last ordered didn't go so hot either. I ordered and the wife picked it up on her way home. She checked the bag and her salad wasn't in there. She asked if they could add one. It took them almost 20min to make a salad. At least they felt bad enough to comp us an extra onion ring and a soda. You guys make a mean cheese steak but please pay attention a little more when filling...
