Updated review. Since my 2 year old review below, the prices here have NOT gone up. This is the only restaurant I've seen that hasn't increased prices.
The food here is still excellent, and the service good. I love the older woman who is usually working in front. She's incredibly sweet and attentive.
This place honestly has the best salsa I've ever tasted. They have a certificate up that they were 2nd place in a salsa competition. I can't imagine a better tasting salsa that could possibly top this. Their chips also seen home made and are so delicious even without salsa.
I've become addicted to their papusas, I even get ones to bring home.
I highly recommend this little gem here in Lancaster.

Old review:
Very tasty and reasonably priced, clean any friendly place. Went there on a Sunday afternoon. Place wasn't too busy - cozy small to medium sized with booths and tables. Unfortunately parking lot was already full.
We tried the enchiladas (#14), papusas (#29), and the shrimp entree (#28) as well as a yucca appetizer (#7) and the chips with salsa. Food was seasoned just right and the shrimp meal came with a LOT of large shrimp. Only real negative was they were out of the first choices we had. It could just be because of the day/time we went. We were checked up on multiple times to make sure everything was ok. Definitely...
Read moreSo my family and I just came from this restaurant and i have to say, there's some good things to say and not as good things to say. First off, I will say is that the place was clean. Our waitress/server was very nice and hospitable. We were started with chip and salsa that were really good. Chip were warm, crisp, and a little salted the way i like them. Salsa was not as spicy as i hoped but still was pretty good too. Food was pretty good and dont really have anything bad to say other than it did take a little while to get the food but i would only think its because it's being made fresh and it was a big order. The choriqueso was good but for the price we were hoping to get a little more. Other places have it for roughly the same price but do give more. As well as the guacamole. Food had great, bold flavor and we all left with full stomach and very happy. One recommendation would be to give some of the items a more spicier/hotter option. I like spicy and if my enchiladas would have had more spicy, they would have been perfect. Definitely a place to try. Great service, great food, and good people running it. Plan to visit again very soon to try other items...
Read moreI recently decided to revisit Asaderos for some takeout pupusas, only to be thoroughly disappointed. In the past, their pupusas were a highlight—flavorful, generously sized, and something I looked forward to. Unfortunately, this visit was a stark contrast. Firstly, the pupusas were shockingly small compared to what they used to be. It's disheartening to see such a drastic reduction in size without any noticeable improvement in quality or flavor to compensate. Speaking of flavor, the pupusas were mediocre at best. They lacked the rich, savory taste that I remember and seemed bland and uninspired. The service, while not bad, couldn't make up for the letdown in the food quality. The staff were polite and efficient, but it's the food that ultimately defines the experience, and in this case, it fell flat. In summary, Asaderos has gone downhill when it comes to their pupusas. The smaller size and lackluster taste make it hard to justify a return visit. They used to serve some of the best pupusas around, but those days seem to be over. If you're looking for great pupusas, you might want to...
