Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii — Restaurant in Land O' Lakes

(Lutz, FL location) If I could give 0 stars I would. My daughter went in and got a Orange & Mango smoothie. It was the only thing she had consumed up to that point in the day. She got a TERRIBLE case of food poisoning from it. I called the gas station/coffee house and spoke to the gas station manager (the location is in a gas station), she was argumentative, rude and nasty. She claimed they clean the place but when I asked if they keep the cold items refrigerated she couldnt give me a straight answer and she also said they dont use product often and some products sit for some time. DONT go here, go to a reputable place with standards. After your response. My daughter can drink dairy, so if the items are shelf stable I will chalk it up to cross contamination/uncleanliness. You can not speak to cleanliness when you are not there. Stores much bigger than yours have failed Health Dept visits, so for you to say its clean ALL THE TIME, is a foolish statement, no one is infallible. Your manager answered the phone like a brute, was disrespectful and spoke down to me. If SHE is your in store representation than I can only imagine what else goes on there when the spotlight is not on her. Your manager should know if they are shelf stable, she should know how often you go through items; she knew none of those things. Instead of her being rude (from the very beginning of the conversation) she should have taken the route you did. Wonderful place, excellent staff, great customer service, nearly perfect. Loses a mark in the food category as I tried 2 different coffee drinks that had the coffee ice cubes and they were the most bitter drinks I've ever had. However, their store made energy drinks (Mana) are absolutely amazing and my wife goes gaga for the Mocha Kick (a slushie like coffee drink with dark and white chocolate). Seriously, we visit 3+ times a week because she can't get enough. Not cheap, but only slightly more expensive than say Starbucks. The difference in price is more than made up for in quality and taste. And unlike "refreshers" offered at competitors, their fruity flavored drinks have naturally derived caffeine. If you're on the fence, give them a chance. I would just avoid the regular coffee drinks personally. OK, let me be honest I didn’t take a picture, but the drink was gone in less than a mile and a half from the location as I started driving it is so delicious and they make it with espresso shots instead of cold brew, which I love I absolutely love. I got a white chocolate with a macadamia, and I added caramel to it, and it was an iced coffee a large with oat milk and whipped cream on top and I’m so happy right now. I also got a sausage, egg and cheese on the Hawaiian roll and it was delicious. The prices were great. The service was great. The young lady that helped me was very sweet and nice. I just had a really good experience and I hope if you try it out too that you have the same experience, it was great and I found out they have a location in Clearwater, which is by my mom‘s house so that makes it...
