Bahama Breeze — Restaurant in Land O' Lakes

Mother’s Day….so yes as expected it was very busy. However, the service my family and I received was beyond unacceptable even for a busy day. For starters we had a strollers and were seated in a very uncomfortable area, literally with almost no space for the stroller. But we understood and made it work with no issues to us or any other patrons. Our waitress came promptly to ask what we wanted to drink, but we didn’t have any menu’s. Once she provided the menu’s we ordered drinks which took a decent amount of time to come out and we weren’t provided any water. Then I ordered an ultimate pineapple (no alcohol) which I was told the machine was down and was getting fixed and I was totally fine ordering something else. A few minutes later a group is seated next to us and and guess what drink they get right away??? THE ULTIMATE PINEAPPLE!!! I then asked the waitress if it was available and she said “yeah probably, I’ll check.” Finally, I was served the drink but we were still waiting for our food and yes she had warned us that it would be a long wait. However, we waited over an hour for our food and my sons burger who I had asked for medium-well, was burnt down to crisp literally crisp!!!! At this point we had been very patient and asked kindly if we could order another burger better cooked. She then told us “sure, but it’s going to take a while!” I’m sorry but we had already waited an hour for our food, how can I eat in front of my 10yr old son when he has to wait a “while” for his food. I asked the waitress to bring us to-go boxes so we could take our food and I left without eating my meal and had to buy my son a burger somewhere else.

In addition to that the family bathroom has horrible lighting which was very hard to see while I was changing my 3 month old baby.

I have been to this location before and have never ever had this experience. Today definitely left a horrible impression. I’ve worked in food service before so I’m very understanding. But this is was just beyond a...

Get out we’d rather you didn’t stay!

We have not visited a Bahama Breeze in several years due to the decline in the quality of food. This particular store is located close enough to visit frequently but we have avoided it. We decided to take a chance and have lunch on their patio since it was a beautiful day out. There were very few people dining and we were the second group outside. While the music was overly loud as if they had a full house we ignored it and just spoke more loudly to each other. The waitress was prompt and pleasant but very soft spoken. We ordered our drinks and then when she returned put in our lunch order. While we waited for our food two other parties were seated one got up and left the restaurant almost immediately and the other couple who had been seated had asked if they could sit at a specific table and even though the restaurant was empty the hostess stated they couldn’t sit there because the server wouldn’t be able to find them. The couple sat down and after a quick conversation with each other got up and left. A few minutes later our order came and we’re happy to see the quality looked good and the food other than the fish being slightly overcooked was much better than our past experiences. We were enjoying our lunch when our waitress came out with to go drinks for us and while I was lifting a fork of food to my mouth asked us what we wanted, if anything, for dessert. And asked if we wanted a box. Again, there were a total of three tables occupied both inside and outside with No one at the bar seating. So not sure why we had pressure to vacate our table. At that point feeling unwanted at the restaurant we paid on the tabletop kiosk and left. We will not be returning. It’s too bad because their patio seating is great and I enjoy being outside while dining. Definitely...

I was so impressed with the food that I almost forgot to take pictures! I actually ended up taking a picture of my drink after I had already consumed it, which is pretty funny. The drink I had was called the "Ultimate Pineapple," and if you're a pineapple lover like me, you'll understand just how amazing it tasted. However, I should warn you that it's very sweet and probably packed with calories, so it's not something you can indulge in regularly. But trust me, it was fantastic! The drink was frozen and incredibly delicious. You have to try it!

For my main dish, I opted for the mussels, shrimp, and scallops, but I asked them to replace the chicken with more mussels… whaaat?! Yes, apparently you can do that!!! Our waitress, Emily, was awesome and even helped us figure out our order. She also took some amazing photos for us. Is she studying photography? In any case, our whole family ordered various other dishes, but I managed to snap some photos before we dug into them. Unfortunately, I didn't get pictures of the starters because they disappeared too quickly. We had some coconut shrimp starters and firecracker shrimp, both of which I highly recommend. What was really impressive was that my wife and her sister used the small device on the table to place our entire order. This is a miracle considering my wife usually hates technology. While we were waiting, my 11-year-old nephew beat us all in a trivia game. The service was so quick that our food arrived at our table in no time.
