How does this place stay in business?!?! Moved close by almost 2 years ago and we eagerly tried the place soon after. We both hated everything about it and agreed to never go back. However, in a moment of weakness I grabbed take out on the way home yesterday afternoon and quickly remembered why we avoid this place. One of the cheapest hibachi meals on the menu, Hibachi Chicken, is what I ordered TO-GO at $18.95 (unfortunately not the worst value item I ordered) and the picture shows what little I got for that, especially the rice. It did include a disgusting tasting "soup" and ginger "salad" that was nothing more than a handful of shredded lettuce and a small container of ginger dressing; no carrots or onions or any other kind of vegetable other than lettuce! One of the biggest problems we had/have with this place is their shrimp/yum-yum sauce is primarily MUSTARD based and bitter, UNLIKE any shrimp/yum-yum sauce we have ever had anywhere! However, the absolute worst part about this specific experience was I placed my order at the counter and asked for "TWO Spring Rolls"; without any question or explanation the cashier rang up "TWO Spring Rolls" at a total of TWELEVE DOLLARS!!! Yes, that's correct: $6.00 EACH!!! When she gave me my total of $33.12, for just ONE Chicken Hibachi & TWO Spring Rolls, I responded surprised and asked "how much are the Spring Rolls?" Again, with no additional explanation she simply replied "$6.00 each." At that moment, I should have canceled my order and went elsewhere! But I did not, I paid the total plus a 15% tip and walked out again telling myself I will NEVER GO BACK! What I got for "TWO Spring Rolls" for $12 was actually 2 x orders of 4 small spring rolls not much bigger around than my index finger and they were soggy. Again, I can't express enough how bad of an experience I/we have had there on two separate occasions 1.5 years apart! Portions are not good for price or by comparison with other similar restaurants in the area, the food is lacking in flavor, and the sauce(s) are the absolute worst I have ever tasted at any hibachi...

Summary: a good Japanese/Asian restaurant with something for everyone (it’s a big menu)!

I came here with my friend on a Thursday night! It wasn’t packed but it wasn’t full and wait times for the food were good even though they said it would take some time! The waiters were very nice and kept checking in on us to see if everything was fine! I found this to be one of the better sushi spots than many others I’ve tried (but haven’t reviewed) in Tampa.

Spice Tuna Tacos- these were great appetizers! Light & fresh tasting (a lot of sushi restaurants in tampa, I find, don’t have very fresh tasting fish). The shells were thick and crispy (maybe too thick?) and the sauce it was covered in was lightly salted (probably soy) sweetened with some sugar! Only issue I have with it is that I really didn’t taste or see any or very little cucumber. That would have made this very refreshing. 4/5

Nabeyaki Udon- this was a delicious soup! However, we were wishing there was more broth or less tempura bits in the soup because it took all the broth. The flavour was awesome and the udon was a nice thickness but I wish if were a little bit more elastic. Ithat elasticness would have given it a chewier Texture. The tempura bits were great (you also get a tempura sweet potato slice, which was not mentioned). Everything that was served with the soup tasted fresh and nice. 4/5

[Fire] Volcano Roll- it was my preferred of the two special rolls we ordered! My main complaint was that this was extremely saucy- to the point where you couldn’t taste the fish. This would be great for non-sushi lovers, but not great for people who like the fresh taste of the fish. The broiled salmon was delicious with the sauce though. Otherwise, the the California roll was delicious. 4/5

Double Spicy Tuna Roll- it’s literally double the tuna you would get in a regular roll. My complaint would be the same as the volcano roll, too much sauce and mayo on it! This would have been a great if it weren’t drowned by the sauces and the...

DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE RUDE PEOPLE!! I ordered 2 orders of yellowtail sashimi today. When I questioned if it was yellowtail, the owner and man who makes the sushi in the back started yelling at me telling me that it was 100% yellowtail sashimi. He told me to shut up numerous times while in my face throwing his hands up at me. I never yelled at him once when questioning my order at first. He is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY RUDE! I was simply asking to make sure he gave me yellowtail and not yellowfin tuna which happens sometimes. He grabbed my box of food and started walking to the back. So I asked for a refund since he was going to take my food from me. He then proceeded to yell at me yet again saying “No money back!” and still taking my food with him. I said either give me my order or the refund. A lady then stepped in and grabbed my food from him and gave it back to me. We order from here a few times a week so the sashimi looked different than usual which is why I asked a simple question. Apparently, this idiot for an owner/operator does not know how to deal with simple customer questions and has ZERO business dealing with people which is probably why he is in the BACK to begin with! Keep him back there and away from people or you will loose a lot more customers. They most definitely lost myself and my family as customers. UNPROFESSIONAL to say the very least! NEVER AGAIN! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS...

Always enjoy the food we order here. Either pick up or dine in, never have a dull experience. My family and I eat here almost once a week - we say our go to sushi spot. Local, friendly, and yummy. We’ve never ordered anything we didn’t like. Our go-to rolls are the Black Dragon, Salmon Rotika, and Mango Maguro. Sushi always taste so fresh. We usually start with a cucumber salad and occasionally veggie tempura. Highly recommend stopping by for either a quick lunch or dinner.
