Our usual spot closed for the night, so we decided to explore our options and stumbled upon Greenland Grill—the only open shawarma restaurant on our way back from the movies. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the friendly staff and the charming decor, which gave the place a very inviting vibe. The kitchen, visible behind the counter, showcased a quaint well-maintained space that impressed me, especially coming from someone with a passion for culinary arts.
We ordered our food to go, and the wait time was very reasonable. Once we settled into the car and checked out our meal, we were thrilled with what we found. The fries were irresistible; we couldn't resist snacking on them during the drive home. They were perfectly seasoned, striking that ideal balance between crunchy and soft. The beef shawarma was packed with flavor and the lamb gyro was stuffed with delicious, perfectly sliced lamb meat. The sauce and other fillings complimented each dish respectively.
Overall, our unexpected stop at Greenland Grill turned out to be a delightful culinary find and we will...
Read moreTypically love this place, the food is so good but the white girl with the wave tattoo is so rude. I placed a call over the phone and she was rude but I dismissed it because i’ve worked in service and maybe she was busy and tired, but then again in person too I was trying to ask about the desert and she rudely snapped at me again.. and didn’t let me finish my question so I just left and didn’t get the desert and picked up my food since I already previously ordered it. Genuinely what is her problem.. The man that typically works there has always been super friendly or at least just neutral. I never leave negative reviews but her attitude makes you not want to order more and rethink even ordering while trying to get out there as quick as possible. I def wouldn’t want to dine in while she’s working either, I would get it if i was asking for too much but I barely...
Read moreWas expecting really tasty middle eastern food, but it was just all ok. I ordered beef kabobs with rice & hummus and a side salad. I also purchased a drink and it all came up to $18, which I found a bit pricy for the quality of their food.
After waiting an extensive amount of time for my meal , I noticed they don't put enough rice on their platters. It had more onions and peppers than anything , but it was all plated very nicely. Also, the hummus was very bland. The beef kabob consisted of pieces that were extremely chewy and hard to eat, and tender pieces cooked correctly. Nothing stood out except the french fries and their falafel, which were both cooked deliciously. I did feel rushed as I ate, since they closed 1 hr 1/2 earlier than their usual time that day.
Female employee up front was kind and attentive but I probably wouldn’t make the...
