My family and I come here all the time as well as order carry out at least on a weekly basis. However, this last time was unfortunately not a good visit.
Our appetizers were fantastic as usual, this was the second time with the same server & a bad experience. She took 10 minutes to bring my husband a margarita which I understand if it’s busier, however she was making comments saying how the bartender was socializing when we were sitting next to the bar & he was doing his job. Then, we went and ordered our entrees when we received our appetizers. She came up to us about 10 minutes after asking what we ordered again & “double checking” again which is fine as I used to work in the restaurant business and double checking is always a good thing. However, after about 25 minutes of waiting for our food, with absolutely no update, didn’t come by to grab our empty appetizer plates, kept walking past our table, she finally came up to us and said “Let me get you guys an update on the food”. Then never came back. We were also sitting right next to the kitchen as we can see her every move & she was too busy talking to her co workers to come check on us. Then 10 minutes later another server brought our food to us & at that point we had our toddler and decided to just take it to go as she was getting antsy. We waited for about 35 minutes on our entrees after we received our appetizers, however I don’t believe it was the kitchens fault as they were getting plates out consistently & I believe she simply didn’t put our order in immediately & she forgot what we ordered. I also don’t think it was the kitchen as two tables who sat after us received their desserts from her before we even received our entrees. When she saw us packing our food for to go she still didn’t even apologize for the wait, or ask if we wanted to speak to a manager, or offer anything at all. Her exact words were “I don’t blame you guys for leaving the food took forever”. Personally myself as a server, I’d be asking if there’s anything I can do or even possibly getting a manager involved to make my guests feel better about their experience. This was the second time this has happened with slower service with this server as well. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be coming...
Read moreNot the Miller's of years past. WOW what a difference! Maybe it's improvement over time or the locations we had previously been to were not up to the same standards as the Wesley Chapel restaurant.
But we had an excellent dining experience. The food was was fantastic; our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful; the restaurant was clean; and the drinks were on point.
I will say we were a little disappointed by the size of our sides, a tiny little plop of mashed potatoes was laughable with a 16oz prime rib or next to a big osso buco.
An osso buco which I may add while delicious, was sorely lacking and in need of a sauce. I have never seen it served without a demi-glace or a gravy if not practically slathered with it.
My last nitpickery would be presentation. No garnish, no frills or thrills. Just slap down a chunk o meat, scoop of potatoes jabbed with a ladle of gravy aaaaand done. The calamari wasn't much better, the flavor was there but for the price point the portion size and presentation were lacking and left me wanting more.
Now for the prime rib, I asked the server to have the kitchen season it with some blackening seasoning and toss it on the grill quick like. Which they did and still managed to send it out at the medium rare temperature I had asked for. They totally NAILED it. Iit was hands down the best prime rib I've had in years. The mashed potatoes, while lacking in portion size as mentioned, were outstanding; I'd have destroyed a portion 3 times bigger and the gravy was so good that if line of shots of them lined the bar I'd have been throwing them back like a gun slinger.
The menu has something for everyone and there are all kinds of specials
Overall the food quality and service we had at this Miller's vs the experiences we had years ago at other locations was a night and day improvement. We...
Read moreAbsolutely delighted with my dining experience at this gem of a restaurant, I'm compelled to award it a well-deserved five stars across the board. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, greatly enhanced by Kylie's welcoming presence. Her friendly demeanor and radiant smile were the perfect introduction to what was to be an exceptional meal.
For my main course, I had the pleasure of savoring the Osso Bucco, a dish that was nothing short of culinary brilliance. It was tender to the point of falling off the bone, each bite more delicious than the last. My dining companion opted for the Breakfast Brunch Burger, which was cooked to perfection, hitting all the right notes of flavor and texture.
Adding to our delightful meal, we indulged in the French Onion Soup, which was a flavorful journey in itself. The experience was made all the more memorable by our waitress, Kaylee, whose enthusiasm and warm approach made us feel like we were reconnecting with an old friend. Her service was a rare find, adding a personal touch that truly set the dining experience apart.
A special mention must be made for the Dandelion Society, the highlight of my visit, which left an indelible mark on my dining experience. Furthermore, the concept of Angel numbers, specifically 111, added an intriguing and mystical dimension to the evening.
My gratitude extends to Trish, the restaurant manager, whose openness to feedback is commendable. It's clear that this establishment not only cares deeply about the quality of its food but also about the dining experience of its patrons.
Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable dining experience. Your dedication to excellence in every aspect, from service to culinary mastery, is truly appreciated. I eagerly look forward to...
