A Taste of New York in the Heart of Oklahoma! Hero's Deli is a Must-Try!
I recently had the absolute pleasure of dining at Hero’s Deli in Langley, OK, and I'm still dreaming about the sandwich! I ordered the #1 Italian, and to say I was not disappointed would be a massive understatement. This was, without a doubt, an amazing sandwich experience.
From the first bite, the quality was evident. The bread, which I learned is baked fresh, was the perfect foundation – crusty on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. It was clear that Hero's Deli doesn't skimp on ingredients. The meats and cheeses were incredibly flavorful and tasted exceptionally fresh, piled generously onto the sandwich. Every component, right down to the condiments, was top-notch and contributed to an overall fantastic taste.
What truly elevated the experience, beyond the incredible food, was the staff. They were genuinely friendly, outgoing, and made you feel welcome from the moment you stepped inside. It's clear they take pride in what they do, and it shows in the quality of the food and the positive atmosphere of the deli.
Everything about Hero's Deli speaks to freshness and a commitment to quality. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything so right, but they've nailed it. For anyone in Langley, or even just passing through, this place is a gem. It's like they've managed to bring an authentic New York deli experience right here to Oklahoma.
I wholeheartedly recommend Hero's Deli. This is an easy five-star rating from me. I'll definitely be back to try more...
Read moreThe cookies were 5 star! The atmosphere was 5 star. Clean and renovated old garage even had an old school dartboard in the dining area.
The food, it’s 3 star. First of all, we didn’t expect the prices to average $15 for the smaller sandwich. Secondly, when I opened my #1 hero, the attitude sauce was all over the paper & the meat/fillings spilled out. That didn’t stop me. My first bite, after putting everything back together, tasted like a $7.50 hero. Lacked savory flavor and I was surprised to see not any pickles. My husband’s #3 made him cough. The menu indicates mustard which would be thought of as the standard kind but it was spicy ground. Big turn off. Everyone coming in was ordering the pizza, maybe that was the better choice. Not sure there will be a next time...
Read moreThe wife and I stopped in yesterday for lunch. The ladies were very nice and greeted us warmly. The building has been remodeled very nicely including darts and corn hole inside, as well as a horseshoe pit outside. We were impressed with the ingredients on the menu and decided to try the roast beef. It was just under $22 for a 12" sandwich and a bottle of water. It was a decent sandwich, but a bit spendy. $10 for 6" of a sandwich is more than I'd care to spend. There is 1 more sandwich I'd like to try, but the quantity/quality to price ratio will prevent me from...
