Be careful eating at this one because if you don't leave a tip they put stuff in your food. I had the audacity to pay with a credit card and the girl on cash who was of the clear persuasion alwith blonde hair was saying to me thank you real creepy tone and staring at me. My chocolate cone tasted a lot different than usual and afterwards I had a stomach ache. This is the dairy Queen of my youth and the food always used to taste fantastics from the chili dogs to the ice cream, but it doesn't taste the same anymore .They usually hire a lot of teenagers that usually don't give a darn and are not being closely watched. I've also noticed that a lot of people are not going to them like they used to in years past. I guess most people are going to dairy Dan or Culver's for better food...

For decades this location has been the "Winter is over!" landmark that symbolizes an end to cold and freezing weather. Staff has always been top notch, and seems to be a continuous source for teens foyer to the labor market. Even when busy, this DQ acts as a melting pot for the south side, as people from all walks of life mingle as they await their preferred treat. I sincerely hope it is still here when my children turn 16 and could experience everything this place...

No indoor dining, and the few outside tables present a less that stellar view and abundant traffic noise. Food, particularly the ice cream is pretty standard DQ fare, but service always seems to be on the ball. Can get very busy on warm summer nights or when the school across the street lets out. A regular hangout for us. I recommend trying any of their blizzards made with chocolate soft...
