My daughter got a gift card after mentioning she wanted to try this place so we went there for lunch after running errands. I will definitely be back. We didn't realize it was a no kids menu, cloth napkins, cocktail bar kind of place but luckily my 2 year old granddaughter is very well behaved when we go out to eat.
I misread the menu and thought the grilled cheese with tomato was like a soup and sammich combo with tomato soup. Our server explained it was a grilled cheese with tomato on it. I was flustered and ordered a soup I've always wanted to try. Well. Today I learned I do not like French Onion soup and neither did my lunch companions. I wasn't going to say anything but my daughter politely told our server and asked if I could get chicken noodle instead. She got some for me and remembered a new empty cup for my granddaughter so I could share with her.
The chicken noodle soup was great. I loved my grilled cheese and the pasta salad. The pepperochini in the pasta was a great touch even if a little too hot for me to eat all of it. I'll be having my husband add it to his pasta salad recipe. I love that it was a side option with the sammich. My daughter liked her breakfast dish, the Baja scramble or something like that. The little one liked most everything we gave her. This was a lovely place and the smells were amazing as soon as we walked in. We were seated right away and I loved the art on the walls. The specialty cocktails look very interesting and I plan to get one next time.
I do think the soup selection should come with the menu or on the table rather than a small sign on one wall in the dining room. Maybe I missed it but so did my daughter.
Our server was great aside from seeming annoyed with us but as a former server I know kids can be a wild card and not always easy to have in your section but not every toddler is a monster at restaurants. She took great care of us and was not rude but seemed annoyed or maybe just having a rough day. It only affected our experience by making me feel like a difficult customer which is a "me"...

Rating: ⭐⭐
I recently visited this restaurant with high expectations fueled by glowing reviews and the sight of consistently long queues at the entrance. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.
Despite sharing a variety of dishes with my son, our disappointment was unanimous. The Caesar salad seemed refrigerated tired, lacking sauce, and only the soup managed to salvage our taste buds. The hamburger lacked the expected savory taste, and even the bacon, known for its rich flavor, failed to meet expectations. The essence of a juicy and flavorful hamburger was unfortunately absent and the pasta salad was left untouched.
Eager to be honest and hopeful for improvement, I shared my concerns when the manager approached. However, his response was not only unhelpful but also rude. He seemed displeased, asserting, "But you have eaten it," dismissing our valid feedback.
Even though I didn't seek a discount, the manager offered one, conditional on understanding his perspective. This felt like an insincere attempt to pacify rather than address the underlying issues.
Beyond the culinary letdown, the manager's discourteous attitude further soured the experience. In a region craving quality dining options, this establishment fell short, and I share my feedback in the hope that it prompts...
Read moreBreakfast, lunch, dinner or any mid meal combinations all lead to the same result...I’m happy, full and mad that I’m full. On an average visit my partner and I will enjoy the soup flight. They maintain several seasonal soups that change every few months and also feature flavours that change daily as well. I wouldn’t say that I’ve had a bad soup ever, though there have been some that I found out I wasn’t really in the mood for. I’ve worked my way through most of the sandwiches and a fair amount of the dinner entrees and everything has always maintained a tasty high quality standard. My only complaint is with the cheesecake. Sometimes certain flavors have come out dry and quite bland when compared to their other desserts like their flourless chocolate tort and cobblers. I’ve also enjoyed the cocktails and beer selection they have. I’m a big fan of quality stouts and porters which can be hard to find in some restaurants but they always have a couple on tap or bottled. The staff is amazing and should you have a problem with either the service or food, management is always great about helping rectify the matter. Reservations are pretty necessary for dinner on the weekends and if you want brunch on Saturday get there early because it gets packed quick and they don’t do morning...
