This is definitely one of my new favorite brunch spots in Laredo. The decoration and the atmosphere makes it feel like it's gonna be quite expensive but it's not!. Loved every aspect of the restaurant. Good food, service was fast and staff was very attentive. To drink we got the Pistachio latte (which came with pistachios), it was very good, they also have other flavors such as Mazapán Latte, Lavender Latte, etc... however decided to give the Café Americano a try, since it's Colombian coffee and omg, it was one of the best coffees I've tried, also ordered a shot of espresso, but apparently their cafe Americano is strong enough no for those coffee/caffeine lovers, there's no need to add the extra shot. To eat we had the Chilaquiles patrón (which is filled with cheese) with Chipotle salsa, however even though the salsa was not spicy (at least for someone who regularly eats spicy food) the flavor itself was really good, we added Avocado and Pork belly (it felt more like chicharrón and was a bit dry, so next time I'd change it for Barbacoa de Picaña or any other topping that's a bit jucier). Moreover we had the Pura vida omelette (3 full eggs, although there's a healthier version with just the egg whites) with spinach, mushrooms and onion + barbacoa de Picaña and Queso fresco, which we devoured in a few minutes. For dessert we had the Cake with Queso Bola, which is basically a "tres leches" cake with queso bola on top, which was good (especially for those who are into sweet treats). At the end, by courtesy, they give you a small pretzel covered in cinnamon and sugar (it felt...
Read moreThis was, without question, one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in quite some time. At first glance, the atmosphere gives the impression of being warm and inviting, but that quickly fades upon closer look. The tables are warped and uneven from clear neglect, weather damage, and misuse—something that should have been addressed long ago if the restaurant truly cared about the dining environment.
Unfortunately, the service only amplified the disappointment. The amount of time it took just to place an order was unnecessarily long, and the wait for the food to actually arrive was even more frustrating. What should have been a relaxed brunch experience turned into an exercise in patience, with no sense of urgency or attentiveness from the staff.
The quality of the food did nothing to redeem the experience. The prices charged are far from justified when compared to the lackluster flavors, mediocre presentation, and overall poor value delivered. When a restaurant promotes itself as offering the “best brunch in town,” expectations are naturally raised. Yet, what I received was the exact opposite—far from that claim and certainly not worth recommending.
Overall, between the neglected environment, unreasonably slow service, and food that fails to meet even basic standards, I would strongly caution others to look elsewhere. There are far better options that respect both your time...
Read moreMy first time at this brunch spot, first off we were a big party and they had a good amount of servers working instead of giving two servers they seem to think one server was enough ok. We got sat fairly quickly, but that was about as good as the experience got. There are no fountain drinks so get ready to pay for every refill. If you want water you will get a bottle of Fiji water so if you want tap make sure you say that first. I ordered my sons mini pancakes and asked that if they come out first please bring them out, if you have toddlers you know why. 40 mins later they come out and they are cold. I let the waiter know and he legit rolls his eyes and takes the plate. I assume they put it in a microwave cause 40 seconds later they comeback warm. Then 15 mins later now total of 55 mins the rest of the food comes out and some plates are warm some are cold, I ordered the don tito sandwich, the sandwich was warm and fries were cold I didn’t bother saying anything I was hungry. My wife got the don beto bagel and it was warm but had no flavor. The last thing this place was expensive for less then mediocre brunch. Total was $66 for 1 dr. Pepper, 1 latte, 1 kids orange juice, kids mini pancakes, Don Beto bagel and a don tito sandwich. All I can...
