Las Flores Restaurant #2 — Restaurant in Laredo

Taking the first bite of my steak ranchero with a flour tortilla, almost made me cry. It was not just amazingly good, it brought me back to my childhood. The flavor instantly transported me to a Old Laredo with caliche streets and kids everywhere on bikes and playing in the street. When that streetlight was turn on it was time to go eat. The home made tortillas here are as authentic as you can possibly get. The atmosphere here is nice and has a peaceful homely feel. This is the only five star rating I have ever given. I maybe bias now due to the the memory flashback of my Abuelitas cooking. If you truly want to eat real, real Good Mexican/Texican food Las Flores is the place. If you only eat at a Mexican restaurant once in your life, this should be it. Laredo is full of Local Mom/Pop Mexican restaurants, but honestly this is now on my top three favorite of all time! The food and drinks here were pretty delicious! I'm surprised people don't come here more often.

It was about ~$27 for a meal for two. We ordered a banana licuado for $4, jamaica for $3.50, and they were very yummy.

I didn't have high hopes for the chicken pasta my partner ordered for $10, but it actually blew my taste buds away!! Way better than Olive Garden (especially for the price) and it came out piping hot.

We were the only ones eating there at the time, though, and it felt a little unfair to the establishment. I mean, they have fair prices and good food :( This place deserves way more...

Horrible services. We sat down and ordered . The waitress won't speak English and is very rude and acts as she can't hear you when you speak to her in Spanish. They took over an hour to bring the food over and when asked if they can just bring the eggs for the baby she said no, they was a lot of orders before us. Which was a lie because we were clearly there before all those other tables. No tip. I will not buy any food from that restaurant again.
