This is a tough review because I've been going to this place since I was a little kid when they first opened in the mall. Normally they are very consistent on the pizza. This time around was a little bit different. A week before the owner was not well due to some medical condition and had to close the restaurant until he recovered. The last several times I've been there, I was the only customer at the moment. I'm sure they get more customers but I happen to be there when it was slow.
The pizza looks good but it also looked a little undercooked. The taste of the dough was a little different than normal. I believe it is because of the turnaround rotation of their stock due to the business being slow.
I won't let this experience keep me from going there again. Everyone has their days and that day wasn't theirs. I try to support small local businesses over big corporate Giants. Let's all start going to Sal's and revive the business as...
