i really want to know where everyone's eating w/ these reviews bcuz this was not my experience at all. i've been wanting to try this place for years, but w/ odd hours and a limited menu (read--no rib tips) i never went out my way to visit. i happened to be in the area and ALAS...they were open! business is drive thru only. i ordered the ribs plate w/ mac salad and baked beans for $15. where to begin...baked beans tasted like cinnamon toast crunch. no smokiness and a cinnamon sugar taste to them, instead of a buttery/smoky/brown sugar taste that i'm used to for 'made in house' bbq baked beans. mac salad was warm like it was sitting out but tasted like when you have an open container in the fridge for 2 days and it starts to get that 'fridge' taste, like coolant? doubt that's made in house. now the ribs, i was told it was 3 bones and 2 ribs tips, i got 2 bones and 4 tips they tried to pass off as a full rib...THEY WERE NASTY! the meat was salty and squishy...like they sat in a brine too long, were cooked in an oven and finished off on the grill for 15 mins to get grill marks on it. NO SMOKINESS, NO FLAVOR and the bbq sauce was an oily flavorless paste. it was weird. now every hood bbq spot i know gives you at least 2 pieces of white bread to wash it down with...why did a get one sad flat piece of wheat bread? so glad i don't have to worry about this place anymore and can stop wondering if i'm missing something here...nothing was or...
Read moreI grew up on this block and Hicks Barbeque and Hamburger Heaven were the "go to" spots when I was a little girl. Annie's came along and blessed this neighborhood with great food at an affordable price. Best Hood barbeque spot in West Las Vegas!! I don't quite understand the few negative reviews. Every now and then, you have to go to the Hood for good homecooked food! Especially barbeque!!! Miss Annie's slogan, "The sauce is the boss" is TRUE. The meals are VERY affordable and come with two free sides ( baked beans and potato or mac salad). They have brisket, chicken, hot links, pork ribs, collard greens, yams, peach cobbler and they even fry chicken wings with fries. They also sell hot tamales. I love this place❤❤❤ This is my FOREVER barbecue home😀 I was just there a few days ago and I drove right down the alley to take my grandma her infamous hot link sandwich. As for my son and I, we chose ribs and brisket for ourselves. Mmmmmmm😋 May God continue to bless this restaraunt, because they're definitely blessing the neighborhood. That's why Annie's is STILL HERE❤ I live quite a distance from Annies, but I will continue to make the drive to get some...
Read moreThey were so rude I've called them plenty of times to see if they're dine in was open because on their website it says they're dine in was open so I was making sure that it was nobody answered the phone every time I called. So I ended up walking down there since it's right down the street from where my house is there was a guy taking orders and I waited until he was done with the car only to for him to say it was only drive thru but he was so rude the way he said it I've never been there before I really wanted to try it and since he was so rude I won't even drive there to try it which sucks because of one person being rude. So maybe update your website and actually answer the phones and not be rude to a...
