Saw their page on Instagram and decided to check them out. I went to the Oakland store the customer service was great, welcoming and pleasant. I ordered the seafood roll and the gyros roll And it was pretty good. I only hope that the roll was bigger like burritos, but over all good. I also had the wings baby they were the bomb! I love the Hennessey and honey bbqđ
I visited the world famous egg roll restaurant in Miami gardens today 8/24/2019. I've been to the one in Oakland park and i gave that store two thumbs up. I came across their place via Instagram website showing the famous egg rolls. So i went to Oakland Park, fl and i was not disappointed.
Now that they open a store in Miami gardens, much closer to where i live i decided once again to visit the store ( new location). The food as always phenomenal đ If i should rate this restaurant it would be in this order:
Food...................................5 star Cleanliness ........ ...............5 star Value...................................5 star Customer service..............2 star Atmosphere.......................5 star Wait time............................1 star
The reason i would rate them in that order is because the food is phenomenal. The cleanliness of the restaurant is great, with frequent up keep by the workers. The value of the meal is worth the money. Customer service was very poor i placed my order and didn't receive my order until 1 and a half hours later and after i complained about not receiving my order.
Come to find out my order was still not placed by the employee who had taken my order. Once i received my order it was all there; However they threw the sauce in the bag without me knowing what flavor it was or which one to eat with what particular roll. Other customers had the same problem. This store also have a poor ordering number system. For example if you have number 50 someone else also have that same number which creates confusion amongst the customers and some of the employees. I think they need to change that system and get one that only give one number per customer. Less confusion and at the end of the night restart it all over from number 1.
The atmosphere was very nice and layed back, some what like a classy non alcohol sports bar. The wait time was ridiculously long but i think if they were more organized things would run smoothly. Note so there is no surprise there is a $ 1.87 additional charge for the seafood egg roll. Very...
Read moreI wasnât even sure this was real, so I had to see for myself, and yes it is real and it was was incredible. The people at World Famous Eggroll Truck have rolled out 4 Impossible Meat egg rolls, to join the 2 other vegan egg rolls they have on the menu, and the results are insane! The brand originated as a food truck, but now has at least 4 store front locations, we visited the Oakland Park location to sample these egg rolls. Now you know anything that is called âWorld Famousâ will usually have a wait, I suggest ordering ahead as this is a carry out and to go location and there is no seating or anywhere to wait. Ordering on line is easy, as the egg rolls are pre made and then cooked fresh to order, so there is no alterations of ingredients. The 4 impossible meat options were, Philly Cheez Steak, Chicken teriyaki, Beef Lasagna and Beefy Mac and Cheese. They also had a falafel as well as stir fry veggie egg roll on menu too. An order of 2 egg rolls (cut in half, so 4 pieces) cost $9 and you can add fries for $2.83 or enjoy without. They have a few different seasonings for the fries but only 2 are vegan (one has cheese and the other honey) we had spicey fries and the lemon pepper vinegar fries and they gave a us a free order of plain fries too. As for the egg rolls, we ordered all 4 impossible egg rolls, and the wait was a little longer then expected, so they kindly comped us the falafel as well. The falafel was very tasty and went well the vegan sauces they included. As for the impossible egg rolls, they were well worth the wait and a good value for the dollar. Each one of them tasted so good and they were all vegan, even the sauces! I would probably order just Philly cheez steak and chicken teriyaki next time. For me the lasagna and Mac and cheese was too much noodles, and I wanted more meat, being that is is wrapped in an egg roll, but that is just my personal preference, the taste of all 4 of them were spot on and fabulous! I am so happy this owner has continued to grow the Vegan menu and from what I am told, has plans to keep growing it too! Not sure if vegan options vary from location to location, I would check first to be sure. This was the location off Oakland Park Blvd in Lauderdale. â at World...
Read moreMy friend Julie pointed out their food truck to me the other night at Old Town Untapped. We had already decided on eating somewhere else but she told me that they had a restaurant in Oakland Park. Coincidentally I just happened to pass by the very next day and couldn't resist stopping to see what I had missed out on.
One thing to note is the parking here is horrible. It is difficult to turn into the plaza and its maddening to go through the maze to make your way out. At least that was my experience on a Saturday afternoon. Maybe it is more manageable at other times. You will also need to take your food with you to go. There is no inside seating although they provide two cool rocking benches to sit on while you wait for your food plus several high top chairs. The World Famous store front is basically their expanded food truck. You have an order counter and then you take your food and leave.
World Famous is known for their egg rolls stuffed with all kinds of savory fillings. Probably the most well known is the Philly cheese steak. Other choices include curry chicken, NY style corn beef, Italian sausage, BBQ pulled pork with macaroni and cheese, and chicken fajita just to name a few. Additional items on their menu include wings, burgers and sandwiches, smoothies, salads, and desserts. They serve both lunch and breakfast.
I chose the $10 lunch that included two egg rolls, my choice was the Philly cheese steak and BBQ pulled pork with macaroni and cheese. My meal also included seasoned fries. Usually I am not a fan of seasoned fries but these were very tasty. The egg rolls were crisp and stuffed with savory filling. They were a little larger than the ones you would get at your local Chinese take out joint. Each kind of roll came with it's own dipping sauce. It was definitely an interesting twist and one I had not tried before. Unfortunately World Famous is a bit of a distance for me. That coupled with their lack of tables makes me an unlikely frequent visitor. If I am in the area though I would definitely come by and look forward to seeing them again at the various food...
