I recently visited Lava’s Javas & Treats and it quickly became one of my favorite cafés in town. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere, with cozy seating and a gentle aroma of freshly brewed coffee that instantly sets the mood for relaxation. It’s the kind of place where you can linger for hours—perfect for catching up with friends, reading a book, or simply enjoying a quiet moment.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly their freshly baked bread. Each loaf is soft on the inside with a perfectly crisp crust, served warm and packed with flavor. Whether enjoyed plain, with butter, or as part of their creative sandwiches, the bread tastes homemade and is clearly baked with care. Lava's Coffee & Cafe in Harrisburg is the perfect, small town, local coffee shop where you can always count on conquering your caffeine cravings. But their offerings don't stop there. There is a huge array of smoothies available for the non-caffeinated consumers in your clan. There are always fresh, homemade and hand baked treats on hand, as well as a nice selection of bagels, muffins and sometimes scones available from other local merchants. The egg souffles are absolutely amazing if you're craving a nice savory breakfast (unfortunately, the COVID related supply chain issues have impacted their availability at present). The owners and employees are super friendly and make each beverage as professional baristas to your exact specifications.
