scheduled pickup time and it was a place called picnic with a bunch of locker rooms where I had to grab my order. After waiting, I asked for an update on my order and the lobby lady in glasses tells me “I don’t know what to tell you. I’m gonna be honest with you, the cook is high cause its 4/20 so I don’t know how long he’s gonna take with your order.” I called the number linked on the website to request a refund after hearing this and I speak to Marco who says he doesn’t know what’s going on and my order should be out in two minutes and he’ll meet me in the lobby. Waited and waited and this “Marco” person never showed so I called again and he tells me he’ll give me a free item and once again, that my order will be out in two minutes. The lobby lady sees me waiting and asks me what they told me, then says Marco is a nobody and he never shows up there. At this point I was beyond confused and disgusted at the customer service. I did end up receiving my food and it was even more disappointing, the meat in the Lomo Saltado was raw and definitely not worth $25. spent $60 total and have never been so grossed out. On Wednesday 5/1/24, I came home from work pretty late and wanted to order something for my wife and myself. Most restaurants were closed, so I ordered from The Chicken Shack and our meal turned out to be horrible. We ordered the chicken fried rice. The chicken was extremely DRY and the fried rice was over cooked and oily, tasted like a TV dinner. To make matters worse, I paid $36 for ONE plate, but was unable to enjoy it. We were afraid to continue eating after after a few bites. I agree about the chicken being too dry, it really is! No moisture in the chicken or rice it’s really dry. And the Peruvian spice green sauce is not fresh made, it’s in packets, it’s still good tho.
