Dairy Queen — Restaurant in Lawrence

Drove all the way over to a different city for my blizzard. Unfortunately, the lady that took care of me (for lack of a better word, she didn’t even give me time of day really) was super rude and disrespectful. I asked if they had the blizzard with the Oreos and funny things that pop in your mouth, she said no so I proceeded to ask for just a regular Oreo blizzard. I said “alright that’s fine I’ll just hav-“ and she immediately closed the window without even letting me finish my order. She then opened the window and said “here’s a menu” and basically threw it across the counter towards me, she then closed the window again. I didn’t feel like entertaining it so I just waited while standing there in disbelief at the horrible customer service and lack of respect for my person. As if that wasn’t enough, I could see her standing around talking with the other 2 employees (one of which was also just standing there doing nothing for the complete time), last straw was when she opened the window screamed “I’ll be with you in a second” with an unbelievable amount of attitude then closed the window so hard that it blew the menu away. I left it on the ground and left without ordering anything. She was of Caucasian ethnicity, dirty blonde hair and had glasses on. Somewhat tall. I went here on August 9 for a takeout order for the family. I tried paying with a gift card to which I was told that Dairy Queen gift cards are not accepted at this location. The clerk told me that the computer is not equipped to take them and that this was a new location. New location? I am 50 years old and have been coming to this location since I was a kid in Little League. My question is this. Why can I not use my gift card at any Dairy Queen location? Why if there is a sign on the front that says Dairy Queen, the product being sold is Dairy Queen, and the employees are wearing Dairy Queen shirts why can I not use my Dairy Queen gift card? I'm really dissapointed because I usually love Dairy Queen, but this was not a good experience. The person behind the window walked up and just stood there looking at me. Didn't say anything. I asked if maybe they were closed, she said no. I said, so can I order? She said, um yeah. She took a very long time for me being the only order being made... And when I finally got it, it was wrong. I apologized and said it wasn't was I ordered. She said it was, but she would make it again anyway. I confirmed it was a tiramasu shake, not vanilla. Yet again, the second one was still vanilla. I don't know if the ratios were off, but I've had and loved that shake before, and it was not that bland....
