I ended up finding this place because I was looking for an Italian rum cake, and this place was kind enough to make one for me last minute. When I say last minute I mean it. They had one ready for me in less than an hour and a half. They definitely went above and beyond, when I went to pick up the cake, the staff there were both extremely nice they even tossed in two free cookies, which sold me even more on the place because they were two of the best cookies that I’ve ever had. One of them was an almond one and the other one was a coconut one. They were so good that I am going back again in less than 24 hours lol. It was also great to hear that they were celebrating their 108th year at that very same location. It’s really nice to see family owned businesses especially when they have been in business for so long. The woman who works there is third generation and I have no doubt in my mind that this place will go on for even longer than another 108 years. Thanks again so very much. I will definitely be spreading the word about this...
Read moreHere's one good thing about being a Native New Yorker -----I'm wayyyyy far away from Fisichelli's and, solely by geography, cannot make it a part of my daily walk's rewards, sublime as that would be. But, having been gifted via the mail with an unexpected and beautifully-packaged box of these moist chewy tasty treasures by a very dear and kind friend and former New Yorker now transplanted to your Lawrence, I believe it would be near-impossible not to become a member of the Fisichelli 'gym'. Trust me, I'm Italiano and live near many outstanding Italian pastry emporiums. It takes willpower!!! Quite seriously, Fisichelli's (and my friend, of course!), thanks and keep up...
Read moreWhile their cookies are good, I am not pleased with the condition of the cookies I had shipped to Florida. The bakery ships Priority, which took 3 days. When they arrived, the boxes were soggy and the 3pounds of biscotti I ordered were destroyed. They were broken and badly stuck together. I called the bakery twice and never got a call back. I did speak briefly with a man who took a message for me to get a call back. He tried to blame the destroyed cookies on the weather and the post office. The damage actually appeared to be the result of 3 pounds of cookies just being piled into a box without any paper between layers. I am not pleased pleased that my complaint was ignored. The cookies are not inexpensive. I may not buy...
