Maybe it's because I'm not from Iowa and wasn't raised on the Bob's tradition, but I couldn't even eat their standard hotdog. The first bite was really difficult because the hotdog casing was just so tough to bite through. I like a little less crunch to my hotdog. Their hotdogs come standard with "meat sauce" which was actually just a ground meat of some kind. They were kind enough to let me taste it before putting it on my hotdog. However, it contained no actual sauce. Just the ground meat. I tasted it and took a hard pass. I'm mean no offense. After all, who am I to judge the #1 hotdog in Iowa, (or something like that)? This place is a staple of the community. Been here for decades. People come from all over, just like Bobs bar (unrelated) in Martinsburg, NE (I have a review on that one too). Motorcycle groups, mustang groups etc., make this place a destination to travel to, stop and eat, and head back.
