Worst-McDonalds-ever. And it is consistently bad- over the past several years I still have yet to have a good experience. Decided to give them another try this morning after not visiting for about 6 months. Arrived in the drive through at 6:38am, with only 1 car ahead of me at the window. I placed my order (only having to yell it at them 3 times since they "couldn't hear me"), and then got up to the window. Quickly paid and got my drink, but then wait. At 6:54am (about 15 minutes after I made it to the window), it opens and I think I'm finally about to get my food. But lo and behold- the employee says they are waiting on eggs, and that I need to pull forward. I am literally their only customer for the past 15 minutes- were they waiting for the chicken to hatch the egg? I told them I was done waiting as I had 6 minutes to make it to work. They told me to wait a few more minutes, but I just drove off. Thank goodness Discover is good with disputing charges- definitely filing a dispute to get my money back.
I could see if this was an occasional experience here and there, but this has been a poor visit every time I come. So if I were you, I would choose ANY other place in Le Mars to eat. This place definitely earns a 1 star or even negative star review over the past several years, and I'd feel ashamed if I worked here or...
Read moreThis location has a pretty solid standing on service and accuracy. Although the pictures look absolutely nothing like the advertisements, they do look exactly and realistically as they normally come from any location. I’ve found the quality here to be consistently quite good. Sometimes the fries could use some tlc, but that’s with about anywhere. In the pics the double is a fish and quarter pounder and the sole sandwich is a fish as well from a different day. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5, is because about 15% of the time (perhaps more), something is missing in the bag. Be it the sauce for nuggets, napkins, even a straw. I always get curbside here, and the straw should be in the bag. Try taking a lid off and drinking from a full cup when driving, and then sloshing around in a cup holder. Pretty impossible, so it’s quite inconvenient. Same with no napkins, and missing condiments for being inconvenient. However I get curbside for a reason… same as drive thru…. I need to get going. So to move the car out of the curbside spot, get out of the car, go in, wait in line to get to the counter and get what’s needed is more of a hassle than it’s worth for the limited time I have, so I just deal with it. Over all though, generally a good experience, and most things are warm, and...
Read moreI have never necessarily minded this location. The food is out in a timely manner 75% of the time (unless you’re a dasher, then it takes forever), the food is always hot, and they don’t usually forget items in the order (they do rectify it if you let them know they forgot something though). Their customer service is almost always bad. It takes a while for you to get someone to take your order if you go inside and don’t use the kiosks. They are rarely polite when you go through the drive through also. Most of the time, when I’m handed my food I don’t get any pleasantries whatsoever and hardly ever even get a word out of them. However, what prompted me to leave this review was an experience I had last week. I had just left the house and had a large mascara smudge under my eye (I didn’t know this until after I left the restaurant). When I pulled up to the second window the woman handing me my drinks laughed in my face. I was obviously confused and a little hurt, so I checked the mirror and noticed the smudge. I’m not sure in what world it’s appropriate to laugh in a customers face ever, especially over something so small. The manager and then one other young man are the only employees I ever receive pleasantries from, so thank you...
