We went here on a Friday evening to check this new place out. We were seated quickly in a very small corner high top table near the bar. our waitress came right away. We ordered chips and salsa - which you had to pay for - it was not complimentary like most Mexican restaurants. They were served on what appeared to be a small baking sheet which took up most of our small table. The chips tasted freshly made. The salsa was ok, nothing special. My husband ordered a frozen margarita with a shot of tequila as a floater and when it came, it was in the tiniest glass youâve ever seen in your life. Thereâs a photo of it in my review next to a glass voltive candle holder to show the size of this glass. We ordered the fajitas - for two - and the waitress must not have heard us because she asked if we wanted to order extra meat. We said yes, not exactly sure what to expect. When the fajitas came, there was plenty of fajita meat but only one plate of the rice, beans, cheese, and only four tortillas to eat all that extra meat. We were a little surprised by only receiving one plate when we ordered fajitas for two so we called over what appeared to be the manager who remedied that right away. I really donât think you get two plates when you order their fajitas. I think you have to order two orders of fajitas, which by the way are $35 - for one Serving! It was an additional $12 for the âextraâ meat. The fajita meat was cooked just right with lots of flavor and cut the correct way. I posted the menu so you can see what they offer. I also posted a copy of our receipt. Maybe you can figure out how we were charged for the house Margarita with the Don Julio floater? In my opinion, going here is not about the food. Itâs about the atmosphere of the bar itself and if you get hungry while youâre there drinking then you order something to eat. I would not go here just to eat their food and most likely will not...
Read moreHusband and I stopped for some lunch and they did not disappoint! The food and drinks had great taste and were priced decent. Iâve seen comments about it being over priced but I didnât feel that way at all and we had a quite a few alcoholic beverages lol. We wanted to taste them all!
The atmosphere is fun, music was great and we were greeted and sat by the owner, Bobby. Really loved the decor and wall art. I loved the glassware and forgot to ask where I can buy some cuz I want them! Really loved the bowl I was served in too. Our server and co-owner, Christina was amazing. Super friendly and she took very good care of us. Thank you guys for being so warm and welcoming to us!
The table salsa was delicious and had the perfect spice to snack on with the warm chips. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and husband had the quesa birria plate. Both had very good taste. I would have liked more caldo in my soup and some avocados in there and husband, more consomé with his but flavor was good overall.
To drink, I had the Coco Loco which was a margarita with coconut tequila which I really liked. Flavor took me straight to a memory of a family vacation in San Felipe, Mexico. Husband tried the old fashion with mezcal. The mezcal taste was a little too much for me but I did prefer the bad bunny because it balanced the mezcal with the blood orange perfectly. I tried the frozen marg with the grand marnier floater and it tasted yum. I requested a fire and ice but asked for watermelon flavor to be added and they accommodated my requests so easily and I looooved their watermelon purĂ©e. The spice paired so nicely with the watermelon đ. I definitely recommended the Mexican Candy shots as well đ€€. Those were amazing. Definitely going back and trying their new...
Read moreNot sure what all the hype is about. Started off with good hopes for this place. My wife and I eat out about twice a week and most of the time we choose Mexican food. The environment was cool. Interesting decorations and was excited to try the food. Music was too loud.
Right off, not a fan of places that donât give you salsa so I became concerned before I even ordered. I ordered the green chili queso so my wife could at least have some chips. And for $9 it was mid. Chips were good though. I ordered the beef fajitas and my wife and I usually share. I was skeptical of $35 for a single order of fajitas but I was confident it would be something special. I was wrong.
The fajitas came to the table and werenât even hot. It was probably the smallest portion I have ever seen for a âfor oneâ style order. The beef was cut lazily, some pieces were strips and others were squares. Inconsistency in sizes. The chilis and onions were cooked to mush. The flavor of the beef was very mild and little to no seasoning. Most of the flavor came from the oil and slight char on the beef.
The beans that came with the plate were decent and had a nice touch with cojita cheese. The rice doesnât have a bad flavor just seemed more like a jasmine rice you would get at a Chinese place. Wife said the pico de gallo was mid. Tortillas were good and folded into neat triangles but it really doesnât matter when the flavor that goes in them is less than Rosaâs cafe (not to hate) at $35.
Left hungry. Food wasnât good. Wonât...
