So there I was, waiting for one young cashier-fella to ask an older manager-fella, if I could purchase a side of meatballs with my sandwich.
Why, you might ask?? Because my dog was in the truck and hungry AF.
When the young fella returned to the front counter, he confidently stated, "sorry, that's not possible."
I'll admit it seemed strange that Marco's wouldnt sell me a side of meatballs with my sandwich, but I moved onto the remainder of my order. I asked, "Can you tell me what comes on the Italiano Sub?"
The young fella responded "What do you mean?"
Slightly confused myself, I took a moment to explain that the TV behind him did not provide a description of the sandwich. In fact the Fresh Italiano Sub Sandwich was the only sandwich on the board without a list of ingredients.
He responded, "Oh. It has ham, cheese, tomato...."
I said, "Okay. May I add onion?"
This clearly baffled the young fella as he spent a moment flipping through the computers ingredient options before asking "red onion?"
I said "Sure. That'll work."
Nearly finished with my sandwich order, I thought of my hungry dog again. I imagined him sitting outside, sniffing the delicious aromas of pizza cooking in the hot ovens, waiting patiently for me to return with a scrumptious snack. Against my better judgement, I asked the young fella "May I add meatballs to my sandwich?"
He pondered briefly. Her took a moment to scroll through his digitized list of ingredients before responding, "Yes, we can do that".
I asked, "May I order those same meatballs, but instead of placing them on my sandwich, we put them in a small container instead?
I could see the young fella's lights turn on. He realized my objective. However, not feeling confident in his manager's position on the strange order request, he stated "I'll need to ask my manager."
As I patiently stood there waiting for this peculiar scenario to play out, I overheard the manager tell his subordinate, "We can't do that."
The young fella looked defeated. But he quickly returned to the cashier's station and repeated the Manager's response. "No, sorry. We can't do that."
The customer behind me giggled as I smiled with confusion. I thanked the young fella for trying, and asked him to cancel the order for me.
Her happily responded, "Okay. Have a good night sir."
Returning to my truck, I apologized to my hungry dog for my failure to purchase him a delicious snack. I could suddenly feel my dog's dissapointment in me, as a loving provider. It was at this point that my dog jumped out of my truck, leaped into the open window of the adjacent truck, and said...
Read moreI placed an online order on 12/16/22 to Marcos For one large pizza and one cheese bread. I drive to the establishment and was told my order was done a few minutes before i arrived (which was a little after 8pm) So when i expect to walk in, get my order and walk out and leave to my house to enjoy my dinner. sad to say i did not get my order. When i walked in there was a line of people waiting on their orders. There was a front cashier (a young kid seems like it was his first couple of days) he did a good job trying to get everyone orders. I arrived and gave him my name and my order he said would check on it and he said it would be out in a second. Ten minutes go by and i check again with him again he goes back and asked for my order to someone and the young kid comes back and tells me “it’s in the oven” and that was around 830pm which is about 30 min after i was told by the app that my order was ready for pick up. OK so I’m not in a hurry I don’t get angry or upset i continue to sit there and all the people that originally had went to pick up there orders have all left and it’s just me and a few new customers walk in to pick up their order. Last time i went up there i tell the kid that my order was supposed to ready an hour ago and i asked him can he go back there and check and see whats going on. He goes back and this time I’m standing up watching him actually go back there and ask where is my order. Sad to say my order was never made, the cashier told me that my order was never made because “their machine needed to make my pizza broke” and “the cook is making it ON THE FLY” whatever that means. That is unacceptable to me but its sad that the cook or manager had that kid lie to me for a hour. If i never would have said anything i would have been sitting there until they closed looking for my order that was never even placed in the oven in the first place. I will gladly take my business elsewhere and will never go back to Marcos...
Read moreHad a great experience the first two times ordering here, but will never order here again after the last girl I talked to was not listening to my order and ended up overcharging me almost double.I was asking her about coupons and she said she'd tell me if my order had a coupon after I told her what I wanted. .. Okay sure that's a waste of time and you should know what your deals are or at least ask, but whatever. I told her what I wanted and she said it had a coupon for $19.99. When she told me my total was actually $38, I said "what about the coupon?" She said "let me check" and then said "well you added this so it's not on the coupon". Really? That's why I asked you to tell me the coupons, and why would you say there's a coupon for what I ordered when there's not?? Then I said "well I'll just do what's on the coupon then." she said okay then took my card number. Immediately I saw a charge for $38 on my bank.... She was rude from the second she picked up the phone and when I called back politely to inform her of the error she just became ruder. Please consider who you hire, it makes the difference. I'll happily go with Dominos...
