I left my card at this Wendy’s two days ago after ordering through the drive-thru. I’d been searching for it since, and finally realized I never got it back at the window. I called the store and asked if a card had been left behind. I described the card and gave the man on the phone my name. The man on the phone said someone had found a card, but needed to check. When he came back, he asked me for my name again and the he confirmed they did have a blue Capital One card but then hesitated and claimed that the only card they had was under the name “Dominic.” The way he responded raised red flags, so I decided to go in person.
When I arrived, they were reluctant to show me the card and asked for ID. I explained I could recognize it without touching it, based on the wear and tear on it. The lady I was talking to then went to speak with another employee and asked about the card, and he looked shocked. Eventually after whispering amongst each other, she brought it out and asked for my ID. Once I showed it, I confirmed it was definitely mine and took it.
I was so frustrated that all I could say was, “Wow. Really, lady? This IS my card! Thanks!” and walked out before I lost my cool and to avoid a scene. After leaving, I asked a police officer what I could do and he said nothing could be done since the card hadn’t been used. So while I can't take legal action, I wanted to warn others about this location. To the guy who wouldn’t even look me in the eye—shame on you. The way this situation was handled felt dishonest and unprofessional. If anything does happen on my account, I’ll be following up with...
Read moreI would like to say whoever is running this establishment please retrain your staff on External Customer service. I’m a General Manager for Freddy’s and we’d never treat our guest like this for a mistake WE made. James, is working the window right now, seems like a kid, he’s got braces and not friendly at all. I was given cold food, only thing that was a decent temperature was the burger. It’s really frustrating to have a really long day and all you want to do is feed your child and get home but you can’t because the food that was given to you was not edible. I just ended up asking for my money back because James made a big deal about providing fresh food saying “the food is made that way he can’t help it”. I could’ve managed eating my cold food but when I requested fresh food for my 4 year old I was given an attitude as well as the eye rolling which did it for me and it took everything in me to not scold him like the kid he was. If people could just learn to do their job, by providing fresh food the first go around then things would go a lot smoother. This is the 3rd time this has happened to us while visiting my mother in Liberty Hill and for this reason we will not be returning again. We use to love Wendy’s but that’s definitely changed. We went to the Popeyes next door and they took really good care of us,...
Read moreMy pickup experience today was easily one of the worst I've had out of around 2,000 deliveries as a gig worker. I walked up to the worker at the register who didn't greet me at all, told him the name of the customer I was picking up for, and he said it'd be ready soon (aka they haven't started it yet) and then he seemingly completely forgot I existed. The order by the way was only 2 kids meals with no drinks. They then had me standing around for 10-15 minutes while they worked on getting their drive thru orders done. I understand you guys have pressure to keep ticket times down but do you not care at all about the customers who are paying extra fees per item in most cases as well as a delivery fee & usually small order fees as well?? Not to mention this customer placed their order BEFORE everyone there! The least they could've done is start on the order once they saw a dasher was assigned to it. At some point I can see my order sitting on the counter, ready but not being handed out to me. 5 mins go by and a worker finally acknowledged me again and asks if I have a mobile order, grabs it with her dirty gloves getting grease all over the bag, and hands me the order that's been sitting ready for multiple minutes. Us gig workers don't get paid hourly like you do, it's why we get an attitude when you waste...
