I had a hunch the food would be good here so I went for it without reading any reviews! It was awesome! Big portion (2 meals for me!) plus a drink and a little side of chips and salsa for just over $13. Granted, I paid with a card and there's a 3.25% fee for card charges... so that's a downside. I'll make sure and have cash next time. They did list on the front door that prices on Menu are cash prices and they list the fee for using a card. The decor inside was nice, big and spacious as well. They have an extensive menu you can order form or you can do their "express" which is a subway-style make your own burrito or bowl. They have a wider variety of fillings and salsas than Chipotle! I got their mixed? rice. Not sure what it was called but it looked like it had slivers of peppers in it. Chunk chicken, queso, pico, medium salsa and a little bit of sour cream. Their medium salsa is a true medium heat- thankfully! I also had their Hibiscus drink as well. Something I'd not seen available since I lived on the border and it was amazing!! The salsa the give you in the little cup to go with the chip tasted odd- a bit like V8 I think... Suggestions: Update to where you don't have to charge for card purchases, fix toilet so we can flush TP (bathrooms are very clean though!), and put a sign up so we know where to order. I sure didn't know and a lady who came in after me didn't know either! Other than that I totally would go back any...
Read moreService was good, food was pretty good. Very similar to Moe's, in that you pick out your item (burrito, bowl, etc.) and add ingredients as you move down the chow line. Music was traditional Mexican Mariachi, few medium sized TV's spread around (but muted). Was pretty clean and orderly. All pretty positive. On the downside, little bit pricey (should drop the prices by about $1) chips and salsa included is about 4 chips, and not very good chips at all (very bland). Do have beer available, but all Mexican and cheap American, no craft beer and no local craft beer (shame shame). Would I visit again? Maybe. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad either. Include some specials, change the music to 80's and 90's pop/rock, maybe get a karaoke stage in the corner for Friday and Saturday. Be different. ...
Read moreNot a bad little Mexican joint - I wouldn’t call it “Tex-Mex” or consider it anything really unique or different from chains like like Chipotle (or Salsarita). Walk up/counter ordering and select your typical entree as a partial “build-your-own” - however, this place does includes some pretty tasty tamales and unique tortilla choices. The “meal” literally included about five tortilla chips. The food was pretty good, but definitely needed salt, and really didn’t taste much different from opening up and heating a decent can of beans or salsa from the grocery store. The place was pretty clean, but I did notice a few flies buzzing around, which is a HUGE no-no in my book. Would I go back? Probably, if I was in the area and wanting some quick, to-go tamales... otherwise,...
