OK First let me say that I love the people who work here. Never have I met more friendly people, and when the food is right it is great. Thus the 3 stars. But the issue is that it is rarely right. Prior to covid I had quit eating at the rooster because of the " medium rare" chicken and fries that were still cold in the middle. But today I thought hey it's been awhile maybe they have resolved the issues and its safe to try again. So on my way home I stopped in and ordered a 10 piece boneless wing combo with cheese fries and an additional order of cheese fries to split between my daughter and I, with ranch on the side. I asked that it be packaged to go as I would not be dining in the food court. After a very reasonable wait for freshly cooked food I was given a plastic bag. The only question I asked was is the ranch in the bag. I felt like you punched the order into your computer as I told you what I wanted so a reminder of the requested ranch would be good as it might be the only possible thing you did not put in the computer. Once home I opened the plastic bag to find a styrofoam container and a paper sack with a huge orange and red stain on it. Removing the items from the bag I find " seasoned" or maybe " cajun" fries with cheese on them. The stain on the bag is where most of the cheese has stuck to the top of the bag. Not packaged to travel as requested. I read the menu carefully prior to ordering. My options were plain fries, cheese fries, cajun cheese ranch fries. I ordered cheese fries. Never did I say the word seasoned or cajun. That is because, if u know me you know am extremly alergic to all types of pepper. And my daughter has a hernia so she cant have it either.So now I have 5.00 dollars worth of food no one in my house can eat. Now I open the styrofoam container. Once again cajun cheese fries. But because the chicken is in the container it also has this seasoning on it. So now there is nothing that my daughter or I can eat in the almost 20.00 dollars worth of food I purchased. Also there was 1, just 1 mostly filled cup of ranch dressing for 10 boneless wings and 2 orders of fries. I can verify that after donning gloves so I could at least check the chicken it was fully cooked. SO at least maybe the medium rare chicken is off the menu for good. I just need to know what exactly I need to do or say to get what I order in a fully cooked state.... I really, really want to be able to enjoy the rooster as much as others do. My husband and I stopped by and the food was absolutely delicious! I had been following their Instagram page for a while now and the food always looked delicious. While shopping in the outlet we decided to stop by and give them a try and it was worth the wait! The fish was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the wings and fries were amazing! I will definitely be back again and will be trying everything on the menu. Customer service was outstanding! I also love that the food is made to order so I don’t mind waiting a few minutes for fresh food. And I mean fresh. The fish tasted like they have a pond in the back. I wasn’t able to eat all of my food but it did reheat well in the air fryer. I can’t wait to stop in next time and try some of the delicious looking...
