Feb 2022: Tried sitting on hibachi side. The waiter was nice but had too many table to attend to, so drinks often went unfilled (not really his fault). The hibachi chef was nice but just seemed to be going through the motions. There was a little mix up on who ordered what so it had to be corrected. The portions are huge but you will mostly get rice & noodles, some veggies, and little protein (chicken, steak, shrimp). Dinner price is waaaay too expensive. Adult hibachi is about $25+. The food is kinda one note as far as flavor. Overall, I would much rather sit on the sushi side. It's alot more comfortable, and I prefer their sushi over their hibachi food. I recommend the Annie Roll (fried) and Yammy Yammy Roll (not fried, not raw). April 2021: I'd rate it a 3.5. Large japanese restaurant. Table/booths or hibachi available. Went on a Wednesday evening. Wait time for the hibachi was 1 hour, so we sat on the "sushi side," which is just regular table service with a menu and no wait. You can still order hibachi food. Location: Easy to miss, although large. It sits behind Arby's from the main highway. Parking is okay, but some repairs are needed to the lot. Atmosphere: Tables/booths available on sushi side, otherwise hibachi style sitting with others. It's a little drab inside- kinda dark, feels a little old. Fairly clean, but just old feeling. We were comfortable. When at rhe hibachi they try to make it fun and interactive. Service: A little slow, but overall friendly. They were very short staffed but did their best to keep up and be attentive. Food: We have tried the hibachi and were okay with it. It was a little confusing knowing what we would be getting. We have also sat at the booths and ordered seafood udon, the alexandria sushi roll, miso and clear soup, and steak with noodle. The seafood udon was good, but the seafood pieces were small. The miso soup was better than the clear. The steak and noodles were similar to spaghetti noodles. The sushi roll was super good (shrimp, cream cheese, avocado). Overall, we liked the food. I'm interested in trying new stuff each time. Cost for 2 with above items (plud drinks) was about $55. Overall, would return. I hope they are able to increase their staff size to provide quicker and more attentive service.

The stars are for the front of house employees. Our server, William, was great. The food was pretty disappointing if not barely edible. We sat on the sushi side and ordered hibachi from the menu. As you can see from the picture, the plates were very similar in that everything was brown and all tasted the same. The sauces were awful, the yumyum sauce was straight watered down mayo and sugar. Everything was full of either sugar or salt, the sauce was most definitely bottled and my salmon was swimming in it. My husband’s cut of steak was unable to be determined, but it was chewy and stringy, his shrimp was burnt and all of our veggies were sad, brown and mushy. Everything was over cooked. We will definitely not be back. Leesville only has a handful of decent eating options, we were hoping this one would be one, but it was not. Don't say you weren't warned. I wonder forgot to mention they don't serve the salad that comes with most hibachi dinners, said they haven't for three years, but they do offer double starch, both noodles and rice if that's your thing. 😂 Japanese food is supposed to be fresh and veggies should be tender and vibrant, not sad brown limp things.

The restaurant itself is kind of divided, one side with tables that can do hibachi and one side for sushi/sashimi. We only tried the side for sushi/sashimi and do want to try hibachi the next time. It looked like two chefs were at the small station handling sushi and sashimi. I have really high standards regarding sushi and sashimi- they were okay but not the best. Sushi rice was packed too much compared to the size of the fish. Sushi quality is something you would expect from an all you can eat. 4 pieces of sashimi or 3 sushi. Calamari rings were good, a little spicy kick in there. They were very well coated and super crunchy. Servers were super attentive and was there in a flash for services. I don't know if I saw more than 2 servers for the sushi side. Went again to sushi side, they have very good tempura, especially shrimp (emi tempura). Don katsu was ok, lots of pepper in between meat and fry layer l. Udon has more umami than I thought it would and it's a bit saltier than expected. There's pieces of salmon making the broth more flavorful.

We were having an amazing time our chef was great his name was Mark! He always made sure our food was good & we had everything we needed. But our waitress was very poor. messed the drinks up, gave us uncomfortable vibes by how she acted and talked around guest that were eating. we were there for my sisters 19th birthday and there was 9 of us, we were all planning on tipping our waitress even if she was poor because we understood how it was to serve a big table. not consulting us first or even asking she added a 15% tip to our check and walked away for the rest of the night. we’ve lived here for 8 years and never had another waitress or waiter ever do something like that, i never got her name but it really ruined our experience there and we’re not sure if we want to ever go back. our bill was 120$ alone without the extra 15% which made it over 140$, there’s no telling how many other tables she did it to also. if she needed a good tip we would’ve provided it, i’m pretty sure she just needed the extra money but it was very uncomfortable and rude. We also had spilt checks with 3 people in one party & 6 in the other, the hostess told up it would had to be a party of 8 in ONE check to do something like that and that it was up to the waitress to decide if she wanted to do...

We've been frequenting this restaurant since it opened here in Leesville, and I have noticed a complete 180 degree turn on the customer service, cleanliness, and food quality. Last night the waitress who was waiting multiple tables and waiting the sushi side as well accidentally ran another families debit card for my meal, so to rectify this, the manager decided instead of canceling transaction and running appropriate cards for their corresponding tickets that she would reduce the price of the other families ticket to match mine and the waitress would eat the difference which was about 10 bucks (Horrible Leadership). The time before that I ordered over the phone and picked up my meal. I ordered Filet and Shrimp and I received Steak and Shrimp, when I called to report this, I was told "the owner would split the difference of a steak and Shrimp and a Filet and Shrimp meal with me" (a couple of bucks) and that there would be a voucher placed in the register. I live 20 miles from Hana's its a 20 - 25 minute drive one way. That in my opinion is horrendous customer service and speaks volumes about the management. I hate to say it but not sure we will be returning and I wouldn't recommend them to...
