I`m a proud louisiana shrimper from Houma Louisiana we took a beating for IDA down the bayou so seen this "Kajun" restaurant very beautiful inside and out looks kajun but when I asked if they used import seafood or local our waitress didn't even know what i was talking about so i asked the manager and his reply shocked me he said "We dont use Louisiana seafood because its to experience " well why is this restaurant using the word kajun to sell there food when its China impots I'm proud of my state and what we as fisherman provide it makes me sick to see this nice restaurant taking the "Kajun" heritage,Theme, and Pride to sell CHEAPER china food and taking people's money without telling them its NOT at all Louisiana food and could make them sick I hope they follow the law and tell people what they are really serving I did not eat here because its just not right to advertise as cajun but serve china imports,My message to the owner is if you want to sell china food in Louisiana get a Chinese restaurant but DON'T STEAL FROM LOUISIANA COULTER TO MAKE A FAST BUCK STOP STEALING MONEY LET PEOPLE KNOW ITS CHINA FOOD ITS THE LAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EAT LOUISIANA SEAFOOD ITS BETTER THAN WHAT YOU SERVE AND BETTER FOR LOUISIANA NOT CHINA

Food is absolutely amazing! The best, if I say so myself! The employees are extremely friendly and some of the best people I've met! Highly clean, nice calm restaurant, and absolutely beautiful inside and outside. Nice down home place with delicious food and I very highly recommend stopping by! (My autistic child even approved of the food and she's very picky!) ~ pictured: Fais do-do (fries topped with crawfish etouffee and cheese), mozzarella sticks, hand made burgers with fries, Cajun seafood combo (shrimp, fish, fries, house made coleslaw, house made tartar sauce, and pistolette), pirogue platter (crawfish etouffee and rice with fish and a pistolette), and a colossal cheesecake slice (pic is of part of it eaten, it's huge!)

This place is nice. It was clean and staff were very friendly and helpful. Ms. Destiny was our server, she was friendly and sweet. My 11yo daughter and I enjoyed our lunch date. She had the country fried steak, which she loved. She also complemented the mash potato with gravy was yummy. I have the gumbo... it was so-so. Also had a sigle home-made buttermilk fluffy pancake.. that satified my sweet pancake cravings ^_^. Hubby joined later and had the poboy fried fish... that was delicious! It came with side of fries and those were seasoned just right as well. Overall a pleasant lunch visit for us.

Toups’ Kajun Kitchen is the kind of place where hospitality and authenticity go hand in hand. From the moment you walk in, the warmth of the staff makes you feel right at home. Their attention to detail is evident not just in their service but in every element of the dining experience. Even the way they wrap the silverware—neatly and thoughtfully—reflects a level of care that extends to everything they do.

The presentation of their dishes is just as impressive as the flavors. The boudin balls arrive perfectly golden, crisp on the outside, and packed with rich, savory goodness inside. They are plated with precision, accompanied by a dipping sauce that complements their deep, smoky flavor. The crawfish étouffée is a masterpiece in its own right, with a velvety, flavorful sauce generously poured over rice, garnished just enough to enhance its visual appeal without distraction. Each dish is prepared with a balance of tradition and finesse, making it clear that quality is their top priority.

Beyond the food, the overall experience at Toups’ Kajun Kitchen is what sets it apart. Whether dining in or taking food to go, the same level of thoughtfulness is applied to every order. Guests are treated like family, with staff members who genuinely care about making each visit special. The combination of incredible food, impeccable presentation, and unmatched hospitality makes this restaurant a true standout in...

Went there for dinner last Thursday evening and was on a somewhat time constrained timeline due to a school event for the kids. Toups is normally one of our go-to spots that we frequented, so it kind of pains me to write this review, but this situation was a bit egregious in my opinion. We got there at 5pm and ordered dinner. The cook messed our order up twice, according to the waitress, because the food never came out. At 5:50pm we told the waitress we had to leave for a 6:00pm school event. We told the waitress we were on a timeline when we arrived so she and the kitchen were aware. To my surprise, Toups charged us for the food even though it never came out and we never received it. Not our fault the cook screwed up the meal twice. Take it from his paycheck. I called and talked to the manager the next day and he said the cook was a new trainee and that tends to happen with new trainees, but that we weren’t getting our money back even though we never received our food. Bottom line, it used to be a go-to spot for us but we’ll never go back. The owners proved to be not upstanding people as demonstrated by how they handled this situation. Who charges people for services not provided, especially when it’s their fault? ...

I have ordered from Toups' on a few occasions as well as my daughter and received great customer service. On yesterday I had a taste for fish and shrimp. As I approached the window on the inside an employee was putting together I think was utensils in a white bag I literally stood and waited over 5 minutes without a greeting or anything and then she stopped and assume I was the call in never did she verify because I could have been there to order. I really wanted to turn around and leave. My food cost around $16 or so and she proceeded to give me my change although she made me feel like I had no business in there I allowed her to keep my change as a tip. As she was giving me my food I was leaving she did say have a good day I think because she said it so low I know she didn't mean it and I responded and walked out. Customer service goes a long ways regardless to who is standing before you. Money is money if the customer is approaching respectfully in which I did. Very disappointed and I doubt I will be back I know it probably doesn't matter to you if I don't return but teach your staff customer service at all cost no matter who is standing before you. Without customers your business would not be a success. Have a...
