I stumbled upon this gem while headed to the grocery store to buy ingredients to make dinner. Who is one to turn down trying out a new Indian Restaurant! I’m so glad I went in.
I found the ordering process to be a little confusing as it’s done in a kiosk. I was kindly helped through the process and now this tech challenged 50 year old is pro. I managed subsequent visits without a problem! I do like that the kiosk shows photos of the entrees and that everything is broken down nicely into categories.
The food is outstanding. I ordered Chicken Coconut Korma, garlic naan and vegetable samosas. On the chicken the medium spice was perfect. Just enough to make me want some water to cool things off but not so much I can’t even enjoy the food. The naan was buttery and perfectly crisp and the outer shell of the samosas had a great taste that I don’t recall having elsewhere.
I also really liked that the portions are generous and come in containers that are ready to go. I never finish an entire meal so it’s nice to not have to transfer the food to a “to-go” container and it’s ready to pop in the microwave at home when I am ready.
The dining room is clean. The staff is friendly. And roughly $30 for my meal, including a tip is pretty fantastic. Especially considering it is enough for a second meal at...
Read moreI can tell this place is new. So I'll come back and give them another try in the future. I love Ganesh's other locations, and I think this one just has some details to iron out.
Popped in to try a few appetizers. I told the gentleman that we are allergic to dairy, so I'll need vegan options. There are some on the menu marked as vegan so I picked a couple. While waiting he brought out a Lassi for us to try on the house. He was very kind. I explained again that we can't have dairy, and he mentioned that the Veggie kebab I'd ordered, which was marked vegan on the menu, has paneer in it. I just decided to go with 2 samosa. I explained that it really shouldn't be marked vegan if it's not, it can be dangerous for people with food allergies. He kept pointing to the Vegan "V" symbol saying "vegetarian" 🤷♀️ Hopefully they make some adjustments and make the menu clearer. Also a Pakora option would be awesome!
Overall, the Samosa we got were delicious, I'll give it another try eventually. I'd just be cautious when ordering things...
Read moreWe ordered Chicken Tikka masala and it was the worst we have ever had. It did not have a rich tomato base with a creamy blend of whipping creme or heavy creme in my opinion. It was way more thin than I would have expected
The chicken didn't appear to be marinated in yourgurt sauce with seasonings and then cooked separately and added to the sauce.
This appeared to me as an extremely cheap and gross preparation of Indian food. While I cannot confirm the cost of their ingredients or what they even are it was not good to me at all
Their garlic naan didn't taste right either to me. It tasted like it has a metallic taste for me. I have never had naan taste like that.
I don't find any satisfaction in writing a review like this I had hopes this place would be better than some other local places nearby and it's not
I really wish I had just bought a jar of Tikka masala sauce and a can of chicken from the grocery store. To me it would have...
